[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had this fridge for a couple weeks now and we're so happy with our decision. It feels so much bigger that what we had before. The separate freezer drawers are great. The internal water dispenser is more functional than any we've had before.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I came home from vacation to find everything in my 2 1/2 year old freezer had thawed and ice cream and ice had melted all over the freezer drawer. I had to throw away all of the food. I called the store where I bought the refrigerator/freezer. I was told it was no longer under warranty and to call a repair person. He came out and was not there more than 5 minutes. He told me that it was under warranty and charged me $65.00, but thankfully did tell me to call LG. He showed me the 800 phone number is listed inside the refrigerator door. LG sent out a certified technician who replaced the compressor. Technician was great. He answered all of my questions and was very professional. Problem I now have is the bottom drawer builds up ice and every time I open that drawer ice cube size chunks of ice fall onto my floor which I then have to clean up.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the craft ice, but the quality of the components just isn't there. In the year that we've had it, we've had to replace the regular ice maker in the door twice, and the freezer fan once. The freezer fan broke about 5 days after the warranty expired, but after a long battle LG did the right thing and replaced it for us. These highs and lows make the product average overall, which is a bit disappointing considering the premium price. I am also concerned about the costs of repairs over the long term with this refrigerator, considering all that has happened in the first year.
The refrigerator and freezer itself are fine. It has enough room and has a nice layout. As for the freezer craft ice maker, it is horrible. It has stopped working 3 times in the 2 years I have owned it. I would never buy a craft ice maker again. It is a long process to get the repair started. The first time they would not come out. The second time they came out and it was fast. The third time they just offered to mail it and we have to install it.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this refrigerator two years ago and the craft ice maker already failed and broke. However, I received excellent customer service over the phone and a new ice maker was sent to me within a week at no charge. I'm hoping I won't have any issues with the replacement. It only makes 3 craft ice balls a day even when I select 6 on the app. It only gets an average rating due to malfunctioning so soon and limited ice making
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall like it. Do not like the left door "Closeout to right door" does not always swing open. If right door is opened and then left, the panel is in the way and we have to close the left door first - should not have to worry about which door was opened first.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I brought this 3 weeks ago and already the inside led lights went out. Called the lg repair as it is under warranty, and they have to order all the lights. This also had 2 ice makers. One with small cubes and one in the freezer. The one in the freezer never fills the bin. It drops 3-6 large ice balls every 24 hours. We use a lot of ice in our house so thierr is never enough. This i thought was a great feature in the store but if you love ice.. this refrigerator isn't for you
Nice unit,. Very deep, hard to reach top shelf items in the back. Drawers don't open without both doors open. Left door slams right door needs help to close.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It works good except for the craft icemaker quit working and they don't have a tech to come out and fix it
The fridge broke after 1 year. It was fixed multiple times but each time the fix lasted just a few months. Once past the two year warranty it finally was kaput and we refit a replacement
