Our LG 4 Door French Door refrigerator / freezer is our best ever in 56 years! Looks fabulous! Performs even better! The technology, design, and ample space is great! We are very pleased with our selection.
Tons of space. Love the wide storage capability in the refrigerator section! Nice feature of two freezer drawers.
We really like our fridge and it is HUGE. If you have a large family or regularly fill your fridge up, this is the one for you. The one drawback we have is the ice maker. Yes, it is a slim design, which allows for so much of the extra room....but the ice output is not sufficient for a large family. There are six of us and we have run out of ice a few times already. Even though the specs say it can create over 100 cubes/day, the cubes are very small and melt quickly. We bought a counter top ice machine and store ice in the provided ice tray in the top freezer drawer.
We have had this fridge for about two and a half weeks. We like this fridge but when you get ice, it throws it all over the place missing your cup frequently. Also I thought the light on the water dispenser would be on all the time. It only turns on when you are getting water or ice. The door storage is a little small as well, but the inside of the fridge seems so huge! We love the double freezer drawers. They freeze so quickly!
Replaced a nearly 20 year old side by side and love the features of this frig - especially the double freezer door, and the incredible wide spaces in the frig. There were a few things that caught us off guard when we started to use it. We probably missed the signs ahead of time, but it’s not enough to make us rethink our decision for this model. In case it would change your decision, you should know: 1- It has very limited cold water capacity. We drink lots of cold water. I was surprised to find out that filling one of our 16 oz cups would result in the second cup having tepid water. Yes, we can add ice, but that’s an extra step that requires an extra hand to push a button. A nuisance, and for cold filtered water enthusiasts, a disappointment. 3 - Since you have to push a button to change from ice to water - every time you want iced water - you should know that it takes a fair amount of pressure on the button to make the switch. A small issue but if you have finger strength issues you may want to test it ahead of time. And, I suspect the words on those buttons, which you must touch to use, will be worn off in no time - especially for those who like their water cold and drink a lot of water. 2 - As others have noted, the ice capacity is minimal. To have a dinner party for 4, involving pre-dinner iced drinks and iced drinks at the meal, we have to plan ahead to save ice, or purchase ice.
I like the 2 freezer drawers. Much better than one large freezer drawer. But there is very little room for things like gallon milk containers and other large normal things. And the ice is very limited. Most refrigerators like this put ice in a basket in the freezer drawer, as well as dropping ice cubes through the outside slot. This refrigerator has a small container of ice that only drops through the outside slot. And the cubes of ice get stuck in the slot occasionally. Make sure that's ok with you before you buy this item.
I love this refrigerator and I paid closer to the retail price listed of $3500. Just two months outside the manufacturer warranty the linear compressor went out and it cost me $1200 to get it fixed. Another year later, some kind of fan in the freezer area went out. I deeply love the design of this fridge, but if I could go back and pick another refrigerator, I would. After the compressor going out, I just crossed my fingers daily, hoping that the replacement stays good. I also bought a matching LG stove that has been a complete hunk of junk and if I could go back and buy either of these again, I would my LG washer has been great
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 5 years and every year had an issue. Recently replaced product with other brand. Very unsatisfied with LG
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS REFRIGERATOR/FREEZER! We're about to have the entire motor and main board replace for the 3rd time and we've only owned it for about 1 1/2 - 2 years!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Refrigerator is just fine . I want to complain about the support or lack of support . I tried calling for help and is all I got was a chat which is a joke. I still have the same problem that I called about . I would like a solution for the problem .
