LG LT500PC 500-Gallon Water Filter for Select LG Refrigerators

Bought two filters in a special sale (BOGO). Quick replacement and excellent leak-free fit. I would offer one small recommendation; consider making the filter with an orientation arrow so that when turned to tighten, the date will show in the front. Will make it easier, and this should require minimal label revision. Overall great product.

I have used a LG original LG Filter (LT500P/5231JA2002A) produced by Cuno Water Group on LG LSC26905TT Refrigerator since June 16, 2012. And in July 2014, my refrigerator did not make ice, but water tasted ok. I realized that I have not changed filter for two years that make filter clogged and pressure was low that leading to no ice produced. Once I replaced filter, it recovered to produce ice. That means my filter does worked well for full two years. What a high performance! I replaced old filter with other maker produced filter but it contained many residues and white particles. I will buy original LG made filter.

Bought this from LG as a replacement for the original expired filter. I choose LG filter replacement because it is a genuine product made. Great replacement part- modern and ice are absolutely disgusting without replacing this filter.

I love my LG Refrigerator, but the filter not so much. It has to be replaced every 6 months. It is nice to know the water and ice cubes coming out of the refrigerator are filtered, but changing the filter is not fun. It is at the back of the refrigerator over the top shelf. It would be much easier to change if it were in the door or somewhat lower down. Also it is relatively large so takes up some space. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Wrong item sent.

No longer manufactured by 3M, barely last 2 months before losing significant water flow. This product is so poor, that we've decided to install a reverse osmosis system in place of this. Not worth the money or time replacing these.
