We bought this 4 years ago and it has been great. The stove top has a lot of room and a high heat plus lower heat area. The ovens are roomy so we are able to host holidays with lots of food cooking well. The bottom oven has a slide out rack perfect for hard to grab handles or flat pizza trays. Other than 1 replacement need for an ignitor we've had no issues with it. And even when that occurred we still had use of the lower oven so we weren't out from cooking. Very satisfied.
Got it before Thanksgiving, and then put to the test! We were using it continually dish after dish. So easy to control, instead of frustration and sad looks from wife and got lots of smiles and proud looks from her! We bought a drier and washer from LG 10 years ago. So far no problems a all. We are sure this range will be another smart investment in our home.
We've had this for over a month. The double oven came in so handy for Thanksgiving. I used the lower oven to Convection roast a 19 pound turkey. ( the turkey came out great, nicely browned And juicy) and also cooked 3 pies by using the top oven. For every day use, it's also great. The burners work great and are the right size. I haven't tried the griddle yet so I can't say anything about that. I am going to get a wok and can't wait to try the wok ring. I have used the oven thermometer, and it worked good. There is a learning curve on that. Aside from that the controls are fairly simple and easy to use. So glad we got this
Aside from being beautiful this stove delivers everything promised. The range-top cooks evenly whether at the hightest or lowest range of flame. The ovens pre heat quickly and are right on when following a recipe for length of time to bake. I have not tried the convection modes or the clean modes. I do notice that the racks are tight to slide in and out, but I have not tried oiling them as advised by LG. I didn't want to dirty my clean ovens. It's such a convenience to have two ovens to prepare items which require different temperatures at the same time. I had my oven converted to propane by my gas company. I didn't know that LG included the conversion kit and I mistakenly ordered one from the manufacturer. I just wanted to mention this to help others.
This unit slipped in easily and was connected with no problems. However installers missed the back space cover and had to come back, after finding it later in the box. I suggest that effort be made by packagers, to make sure that installers see this easy to miss item in the shipped box.
Honestly....it might be the greatest oven ever....but the it needs better instruction. A video would be WONDERFUL. Because it has a lot of features on it, just trying to figure it out on your own is very difficult and the manual is not very user friendly. I'm still trying to figure out how to use the oven features. I'm pretty tech savvy but i'm honest. Thank you for allowing me to voice my opinion. Terra caruso
The stove and double oven appear to be a very solid product and we have enjoyed cooking on it so far. However, I am greatly disappointed to learn that the WiFi connectivity feature was greatly oversold to us. Initially, set up was a bit confusing so I contacted Customer Service for assistance. They were helpful in getting the stove connected to my WiFi. It was then that I was greatly disappointed to learn that this feature is only monitoring the stove, not controlling as I was lead to believe. Then a further limitation was explained that my smartphone and the stove/oven need to be on the same router to function properly. What?! That means this feature is really not a functional feature of any value. Is this accurate? I spent far more than I originally budgeted for this to get the best features possible.. WiFi connectivity has an expectation of performance than just being able to monitor the oven from across the room for it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I have been using my range for a little over 3 months. It works great and has good features. However, for as much as I paid for this range, I can't believe that LG used cheap material for the stove top. It is made of aluminum like material, and scratches very easily. There is no coating to protect it. My old, cheap Kenmore did not scratch as easily. Just putting the grates back on, if not very careful, will nick the stove top.
I bought this dbl-oven/range combo unit 4 years ago. When it's working, it works well and I have no complaints. HOWEVER, the digital display panel is awful. The "buttons" are hard to push. Yet when wiping down the panel to clean it (due to inevitable grease splatters, finger prints, etc) multiple buttons are inevitably pushed. Several times this has caused the display panel to freeze up. The error code is totally unhelpful and the only thing to be done is to reset the power switch at the electric panel because it's not practical to pull the unit away from the wall in order to unplug and replug. Once reset, the screen often remains frozen for another ~24 hours, which makes the oven impossible to use. Other times, the screen has frozen for no reason. The last time this happened was, I kid not, in the middle of Thanksgiving. I was using the roasting function in the lower oven to cook our turkey. About half way through cook time, the screen froze and the oven stopped working. What a nightmare. Good unit when it's working. But the issues with the display and resulting dysfunction are inexcusable.
*DO NOT PURCHASE LG APPLIANCES: Of four recently purchased LG kitchen appliances, we have had issues with three of them. For starters, the ice maker quit working on a 3 year old fridge. If that wasn't bad enough, we just had to have the motor replaced in an 11 month old microwave and is now waiting to service on an 11 month old range that is not burning properly.
