very good product

sleepyray August 18, 2015

do not like energy save feature; the fan coming on every three minutes to check temp is very disturbing; so much so, that's it wakes me every time it comes on during the night. my personal opinion is that this is too excessive and is not so good for life of fan and possibly more energy usage.

A LIfe Saver!

Leeuwtje August 21, 2015

This is the best in window air conditioning unit I have come across. It is super quiet, it's extremely powerful and effectively cools down our entire upstairs floor. Our house isn't insulated and in summer the upstairs floor reaches into the 120s. It's only usefulness is to dry clothes because it's unbearable to be there. This time, with Portland summer going into the 100s, for the first time we have been able to use our upstairs floor, see clients in our office upstairs, work out, sleep, read, etc. It's totally comfortable and even keeps our downstairs much cooler!

This is a fine product

notjim April 24, 2015

We haven't used a window unit in many years. However, when our central A/C bit the dust we just didn't have the money to buy a replacement. This has done a great job cooling a little over 500 square feet in the hot Florida summer. We will be installing smaller units in the bedrooms and only cooling the rooms we occupy. Much more efficient that way. This was installed in a very wide window, but I just made my own fillers and it worked out fine.

very satisfied

barecuda May 4, 2015

I purchased this to replace my expensive, old ,central air system. What a surprise, this cools as well and costs about half as much to operate. Even with adding another smaller unit to my bedroom, my electric bill is much less. Runs quiet and I especially like the energy saver feature.

Quiet and very cool!

RC July 10, 2015

After disposing my over 20 year old unit. I knew I wanted something quiet that could cool my family room. I no longer have to turn up the volume to compensate for the loud air conditioner. This unit is quiet and performs very well. I hope to get another twenty years from this unit.

Quiet and cool!!

JaspersPet July 27, 2015

Works beyond our expectations. Replaced a smaller unit and not only is it able to do a better job of cooling, it is so much quieter than the older one it replaced! We are very happy with it, and the older smaller unit now lives in a different location where the extra noise is not a problem. :)

Product extremely difficult to assemble

Direct2u August 3, 2015

This air conditioner is very difficult to put together. The manual instructions are vague and the illustrations are not clear. Takes a very long time to assemble unless you are a skilled handyman/woman. You will need a full set of tools including a drill more than likely. The slide in slide out feature complicates the process of installing the ac into the window. The ac machine itself is large and very heavy. Definitely needs two people. I had a really hard time figuring out how to attach the frame guide to the cabinet as the manual didn't specify clearly enough. I finally got it after an hour or so. I literally felt like I was building the ac.

The water does not drain from the housing properly

LaurelHutch July 3, 2014

While this air conditioner did cool the room well, that is lost in the fact that the water from running the air conditioner did NOT drain from the frame ('holder') that held the unit in the window. It WAS installed correctly, per the instructions that came with it. The unit leaked water all over the side of my house, because the fan blew the excess water that pooled in the center of the air conditioner out of the sides. The water would not drain, even though it was installed with a proper angle and into the carriage/housing that came with it. My husband tried to enlarge the TINY drain holes TWICE and the second time somehow the internal fan blade broke. It is only 2 months old (!!!) and it is no longer usable. The air conditioner will have to be replaced, unless I can find a repair person to fix the blades. I am very disappointed! What a waste of money!

Terrible Installation Instructions

Kstan June 29, 2014

Just bought the LW1214ER Air Conditioner and tried to install it. Poor detail pictures and instructions. First instruction is insert the frame guide into the bottom of the cabinet. Picture looks like you should use a screw but no screw type given and you cannot tell where it wants you to insert it. Next instruction is fasten the curtains to the unit with 8 type A screws. Problem is it doesn't say or show which way curtains face and the type A screws are not sharp and will not go into the holes provided. I put the unit back into the box and will go buy a unit from another provider tomorrow.
