Not Happy With LG

Altha B January 2, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We as senior citizens put out a large amount of money for our first 75 inch tv we have been saving for a long time. It came with a basic remote that doesn't work Alexa or much else. The tv we like, but if I can't get a remote that works it's going back. So dissatisfied. S# 75UT755OAUA tv. How do I find a Alexa remote please

this remote is not supported by this TV

steveBu December 13, 2025

This remote MR24GN has most of the features that I need, numbers for channels, mute ... but no cursor control for multi view and keep giving me this error "this remote is not supported by this TV". I need a remote that works 100% with all TV functions.

Horrible remote.

OLED55 Costco October 30, 2024

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] LG Magic Remote is horrible. Replaced the batteries multiple times, tried to reset and reconnect to the TV. Still does not work. I bought the TV with remote on 9/16. Not a very good remote, have to constantly take the batteries out for the remote to work and it only works for about 2 minutes

Poor quality remote control for an expensive TV

Anonymous December 4, 2024

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought a 77” O-LED TV. The remote does not match this very expensive TV, no backlight on the remote, home button is located just below the volume button and I easily hit the home button in an attempt to reduce the TV volume due to lack of backlight on the remote. Please update the remote and recall the current ones.

Poor remote

Loriw07 November 18, 2024

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Terrible remote, * not backlit--useless in a darkened room. Even white letters/markings on the volume/channel buttons would help! * the thumb wheel is so very sensitive you feel like you're drunk trying to use it--it flies all over the screen, you can't hold it steady enough to select! Is there a way to control the sensitivity? * and as with all technology you get no user manual, what you do get is printed so small you can't read it!

Worst design I've even seen

Retired NBC guy September 2, 2024

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is undoubtedly the worst Remote design I've used. I'm a retired professional video engineer for NBC. This is Junk design work. The buttons are poorly labelled and difficult to read if you're older than 18 years. The choices of icons are just plain stupid. Example: "Sources" button is labelled with what looks like a mouse with a tail, although closer examination under magnification shows it's a power cord with a plug. Really dumb; text saying "Sources" would have been way better. Also the button placement (and labeling) is terrible. The "Up or Down Volume" buttons are adjacent to the "Go to Home Screen" button, so it's easy to hit Home instead of Volume Down. And because of the really offensively bad user interface design, there's no way to quickly go back to where you were before you hit "Home" by mistake.

Baddest Remote Control Ever

Nolgtvagain November 19, 2024

If there was a rating below one star, I would have given it. The scroll wheel in the depression in the remote dropped below the depression rendering the remote control useless. Wonder why the had depression in the middle of the remote control. This remote lacks features that other reviewers already mentioned. LG need to come up with redesigned remote immediately to earn my loyalty.

Bait and Switch for remote

Candy12345 December 5, 2024

I was a loyal LG fan. My recent purchase of a 65” TV came with a standard remote! Low blow LG!! Low blow! Up to this point all my LG tv's came with a “magic remote “ but now LG sells their tv's with a standard remote and tricks you into then having to buy the remote that works all features. True, the standard remote does work the tv, but you cannot work all the features. So really on/off, volume, a couple pay apps(if you happen to pay for them) that's all!! I will be returning my tv asap!! Will never buy another LG product again!! Stop cheating your customers LG!! Shame on you for being so fricken cheap and pulling off one of the oldest schemes of bait and switch!!!

Terrible products.

LGisNotGoodAtAll December 12, 2024

Absolutely abysmal. Barely Made to work seems to be every companies slogan. I have no idea how companies seem to be getting worse at upgrading technology instead of better.

Impossible to click center button with nails

Mr23gn December 3, 2025

The center button to click on things is round, which makes it hard to press straight down on it and it usually flips up or down and you click something you don't want to, if you have long nails/nail extensions forget about using it. It's actually impossible. My mom gave me this TV and although it seems nice I wear nail extensions regularly and I honestly cannot even press the button to click on anything so I don't even watch TV anymore. I wish they would come up with a flatter design, the fire tv remotes are way more functional. Whoever designed this remote is an idiot.
