So happy I purchased this! It was a bit of a splurge, but I wanted a reputable, known brand, not some lower-priced off-brand. I couldn't be more pleased with just how cold this thing can make a room, even while using the dehumidifying function! I purchased this in order to create a cold room to cold-store all my fur coats during hot summer weather, so I wouldn't have to pay the furrier $700 every year to store them. So it is paying for itself already! So glad it works soooo well! And not too hard to install; the instructions could be a little clearer with better pictures, but I figured it out.
It’s not loud but not quiet pretty similar to any air conditioner but I love how compact it is the one I used last year was like 3x the size and I had to constantly dump water. This little machine cools my room almost too much so it would do fine in a bigger bedroom or possibly living room depending on size. Oh and the remote very convenient when you are freezing and don’t want to get out of bed to turn it down
Perfect size and powerful enough to cool 400 square feet of space. I mainly use it for dehumidifying and love that as long as it's set to dehumidify or cool; there's no need to hookup a drain hose as it has its own evaporator system. I still hooked up a drain line; better safe than sorry but so far so good as long as you clean the filters regularly and it has a filter clean warning light to let you know when it's time. Great value for the money, easy to use, either on the initial or with the included remote control. It's portable so useful in any room or situation. Not too loud in my opinion. Totally recommend it.
This product is wonderful. It has cooled off over 1000 square feet of my home. This includes a living room, dining, 2 bedrooms, and kitchen on my main level. My ceiling fans in 4 of the rooms helps to circulate the air. I dont need it daily in the mountains but on 80 degree days its a lifesaver.
I have tried several other portable A/C. The LG 6000 BTU out pro forms all of them. Even much more expensive units. If you have a small to medium room to cool The LG gets the job done.
They showed in last photo that the system needs to have a hose out the window. Not easy set up at all. Because of that transparency I was able to get it canceled.
I'm so angry as I had 2 LG units for over a decade that worked great. I was desperate as both died at the same time so went to Best Buy and bought a different brand. I put it in a small room, less than 250 square feet, and set it at 64. in a 24 hour period, the temperature never went down from 84 degrees. i boxed it back up, took it back, and ordered this LG unit from Walmart, which came super quickly. Upon taking it out of the box, I realized that it is the EXACT same unit sold under the other manufacturers name, so now I will teturn this one also. Ugh.
Wish I'd researched portable ac's before wasting $350. I found very clear explanations online about why a portable ac simply can't work as well as a window unit. And honestly, during the time I had this set up it was much more of an eyesore than any window unit ever could be. I used it only at night and only in a closed bedroom, cooling the room down from mid-70's to 68°. I didn't find the noise level anything beyond expected. The remote was iffy (often had to push buttons more than once). I like the moving fan louvers. No problem with condensation. I found it very difficult to figure out how to remove the front cover to check the filters. And no wonder, the thing was so hard to pull off that when it finally came off it literally flew out of my hands and hit a wall. It worked for 2 months, then simply stopped cooling the air. I bought it in early Spring before the temps were too warm, so had used it maybe twenty-something nights before it died. End of story.
you'd think in 2024 they would come up with a better way to connect the hose to the plastic housing. WELL THEY HAVE NOT - after 20 minutes of trying to jam the hose into the plastic connectors I GAVE UP and got out the tape. now it looks HORRIBLE and keeps coming apart. WILL NEVER buy anything made by LG again!
Worked good for 4 1/2 months. Now it blows hot air, doesn't cool at all. warranty is a joke, they wont honor it. I'm stuck with a 50lb. $380.00 fan. Last LG product I'll ever buy. Buy anything but LG.
