LG OLED65GXP 65" OLED Gallery 4K UHD HDR Smart TV

We purchased an LG GX65 to replace a Panasonic OLED CZ952, so a hard act to follow. We are completely satisfied with every aspect of this TV. From mounting it on the wall using the VESA mounting points to it's connectivity to other devices, its absolutely brilliant. Picture and sound quality is about as good as it gets, the super slim design is perfect and the menu system is simple to navigate. I have the ThinQ app on my phone and that basically gives me a remote control on my phone. I would thoroughly recommend this TV without a second thought and comparing it to other similar TV's I feel the price was fair and offers good value.

Brilliant, ticks all the right boxes, overall better than Samsung, Sony, Panasonic. And sooooooo easy to use. I love it ! Get (sic) it from Richer Sounds in Holborn, London. The store manager Steve will see you right. You won't be disappointed

Amazing TV - screen quality is the best. Fits flat against the wall and only tiny depth. Sound decent for what it is. Overall 5 stars. Areas for LG to improve for next model include: 1) Smart TV app store - doesn't contain all the apps you will want to use so will end up buying a streaming stick (eg. Fire TV etc) or using Airplay from mobile etc 2) TV cannot record streams played from apps only from TV aerial 3) TV defaults to trying to play tuned TV stations when turned on - cannot be set to just start in Gallery mode (putting pictures on screen) or start in other apps 4) LG Voice recognition could be improved

This television is too pricey to say the least. However the looks and options are extremely nice. The magic remote is a cool option among many. The Gallery Mode was one of the reasons I chose the LG over the Sony Oled. The Picture quality is very nice as well. Standard channels look great. However 8K Videos on You -tube are truly captivating. Additionally, the thin mounting capability is a plus as well. Many professional reviewers gives the Sony a slight edge in picture quality. However when you crunch the numbers the Sony cost roughly $550.00 more if you purchase the Sony thin mount bracket that cost $350.00 alone The LG GX comes with a thin mount bracket as standard equipment. Sony does not offer gallery mode FYI.

Great TV, with a fantastic picture; have watched shows, films, sports etc and the picture quality is brilliant. Makes watching TV so much better having quality.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the first OLED TV that we've owned and we are so glad that we got the LG OLED. The picture quality is exceptionally stunning, deep black, beautiful rich colors. The LG OLED65GXPUA 4K TV has lots functions to offer Picture Mode - You can pick and choose many different picture mode (Standard, Cinema, Sports, Game, Vivid, Auto Power Save, Filmmaker etc.). It also allows you to customize and tweet the colors to your own personal preference. The internal speaker on this TV - I notice that the audio sound that came out from this TV is crisp and clear, it also has many different types of sound mode (Standard, Cinema, AI Sound Pro, Clear Voice, Sports, Game and Music), Useful Functions - It has a screen saver built-in, so when you hit pause, the screen saver will start after few seconds or you can select the "Screen Off" function from the side manual and when you need to turn the screen back on, you just simply wave the magic remote and the screen will turn back on. It will save the TV from any burn-in shadowing. I also love how the magic remote works, you can just point the remote to the TV and select the function you want, much faster than clicking the up, down, left and right button on the remote control. We installed the LG GX65 OLED TV Gallery Design in our living room on a standalone wall that separates our living room and kitchen. The TV sits flush against the wall which makes it look just like a piece of artwork. It hangs on the wall exactly like a painting and there are no wires protruding from the TV which is SO nice! The lack of wires and cables showing makes your home space look clean, streamlined, and uncluttered. Really pleasing to the eye. I can turn on the "Art Gallery" function which is a bit like a screen saver which is included in the TV. It provides a selection of old master paintings in frames and the picture looks 3D, it's amazing! The TV measures at 56.9" W x 32.7" H x 0.8" D and about 65 inches diagonal.

I have a high quality home theater to provide sound instead of the TV speakers. I have headphones that are used for watching TV at night since the TV is in the bedroom. I cannot change from one to the other within getting several menus deep in the TV system menus. For no apparent reason, having one selected disables the other ( headphone and optical). The TV would be a 5 star if the sound optical port was always active.

Had the GX since February 2021, and so far it has been away for repair twice. First it was a blown pixel, and the second time the Wi-Fi modem was intermittently dropping out (requiring a software update that for some reason was not available to me when I checked several times). The onscreen setup of the audio gives the impression that two bluetooth speakers can be added, but apparently not. It would have been good to have been offered a discount on the purchase of legs for this TV - I needed the wide stance of the legs for my setup, meaning the CX was not suitable. I also like the future possibility to wallmount at a later date. The picture quality is superb, though the audio can be hit or miss. It is certainly better than many built in options, but a decent soundbar is recommended. The remote is functional, but an upgrade option with a backlight or touchscreen would have been nice. The additional depth of the top of the screen over the CX certainly gives it more of a durable feel - especially if needing to move the TV at some point. The LG Voice Function needs work, and can be annoying by bleeping in the middle of the night with the TV in standby.
