Although it did come 1 day after I originally thought it was well wrapped and a beautiful monitor!. It has some Great fps features like built in cross hairs when hip firing and the back lighting of the monitor couldn't be more flawless. overall the best monitor to date. #sweepstakes
Mainly bought for gaming but also use for work. This monitor is amazing. Noticeable improvement over my Asus ROG PG278QR in color depth. The main draw for me on this display is the size, refresh rate, and response time. Gaming on this thing is a dream. No issues with it so far, works fantastic. Have it connected via displayport to my PC for personal use (mostly gaming), and HDMI to my Macbook Pro for work.
I haven't updated my monitor in years but after building a new PC it was time. I did a lot of research and finally settled on this 27" LG UltraGear. I've been using it for about a month and I absolutely love the picture. The only problem I had was my old desk wasn't big enough causing me to sit uncomfortably close to the monitor. I bought a desk that was 30" deep and problem solved. If you're looking for a gaming monitor with high refresh rate I don't think you'll be disappointed.
What drew my attention to this monitor was its design and spec, its just what I need for my editing and gaming work load. I needed a monitor that would also meet the high spec of the new RTX cards that have just came out and this is it. Very impressed with design ease of use and fast 1.ms response with high refresh rate.
This monitor looks beautiful. Heigh adjustable definitely a plus. If your desk has limited space, just get a $30 monitor arm to mount it, work perfectly.
Pros: + 1ms (avg. 3ms) large curved hi-res IPS + eSport-grade input lag (2ms) + native g-sync + pre-calibrated = accurate colours + fairly bright + RGB lights Cons: - HDR400 is poor - contrast ratio fairly low - 175hz with limited picture quality only Bottom line: HDR400 and low contrast is disappointing in this price range. Would trade RGB lights with HDR1000 and better contrast
Looks Greats but got a few dead pixels with very little use of the monitor. The repair to fix the dead pixels is taking three weeks! How is it possible not to have parts in the repair facility?!?!?!?!
Purchased a week ago Pro's: Great colours Fast for gaming Seems solid and well built Rgb lighting useful No dead pixels or blb No fan noise Cons: Screen darker top and bottom Screen not uniform - eg on a light background colour changes between white, grey and yellow ... looks dirty and blotchy. Annoying for office work Poor quality control for a monitor at this price
I've had this monitor for two weeks now and the fan is killing me with its squealing. It is such a let down since the actual monitor is great. The extra size of this compared to my old 34" one make a big difference and I don't feel like the monitor is too short and too wide anymore. High update frequency works great both in semi casual gaming like mine and doesn't cause any issues during regular office work but rather adds a nice snappy feel to things. The few usb ports and lack of hiding of cables and ports isn't great but isn't a big deal at the same time. If it wasn't for the fan I would give it 5 out of 5 but now it is barely a 2.
Great monitor, rubbish support. Its a common problem spanning many posts that the LG software that drives the Led ring of lights is impossible to get working due to some quirk with the AB Cable set up. Ive written, many others have written and the only reply i got was a request to rate the monitor. Hence this rant. Shame, because the monitor is great but the feeling once you have bought it no one is interested in fixing the problem is annoying. No reply is annoying. Ignoring the need to reply and asking for a review is taking the mick. The monitor is expensive, it is very good but if u treat your customers like muts they will bite u by not buying next time. And so they should. Plenty of competition out there.
