Great New Features and a Quality Solution From LG

Jerry2024 May 21, 2024

The LG Washtower is a very nice product. It supplies all of the typically needed features one expects from a traditional washer/dryer combo. The unit has an advanced computer system that offers discrete controls for ease of operations. One very special feature is the removal of any conventional external dryer lint tube/hose that vents the collected lint in a filter and hose. The Washtower uses a unique capability to send the lint through a hose into the same drain as the washer uses. All in all we are quite pleased with this new state of the art stacked washer/dryer called the LG Washtower.

Intuitive to Use

Coach Carol January 6, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love, love, love this washer/dryer tower! It is so easy to program and it fits great in my closet. Plus both parts light up so I don't lose anything in the large drums.

WKHC252HWA Impressive WashTower

Steve2026 August 5, 2026

Single Unit LG WashTower with Center Control 5.0 cu. ft. Front Load Washer and 7.8 cu. ft. Electric Ventless Heat Pump Dryer WKHC252HWA This unit is impressing. I cannot really hear it running. The washer is the best, and after the spin cycle everything comes out just damp and ready for the dryer. This heat pump dryer does not seem to take much longer to dry, and everything comes out totally dry unlike my old dryer.

Great closet set!!!

CareCanDo September 20, 2025

I love this tower! Moved laundry to the first floor from the basement in a 100yo home. They nicely fit into a closet and are quiet and very efficient. Only 2 tbs of detergent needed, if you use too much you'll get a notification for the app. Oh that's great too, the app also alerts you when the washer and dryer are done or if there are any problems. Make sure they are properly installed, the dryer needs to have drainage. The guy who installed mine hadn't installed an electric heat pump dryer yet and didn't realize which led to a build up of water in the washer pan and the clothes would be damp. Once corrected, the thing is a dream! We've had it now a year.

Wonderful machine. Lives up to all it functions..

Realuser June 21, 2024

Installed this wash tower on January 11th 2024. We have used it quite a few times and are very pleased with the ease of operation. Everything is very self explanatory. The clothes are very clean for being eased for a short time shorter than a regular washer. The dryer drys exceptionally well and the clothes are not over dried with a lot of heat . It is wonderful not to have a dryer duct no more lint flying around.

Wonderful and works great

NewLGCust July 22, 2024

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had ordered the previous model which was slightly smaller in depth. It was either discontinued, or not enough availability. At first I wasn't happy because this model was a little deeper, however this comes with a next generation designed condenser which has self cleaning capability that the previous model didn't have. Previously I used another brand front loaded that required a vent. This model does not seem to take any longer to dry, and the washer is much faster AND visibly cleaner. I have used light loads and very full loads and it always dried perfectly fine on the regular settings. I have never changed the drying time manually. When you take your clothes out, they aren't going to be searingly hot like regular electric dryers. You do feel a tiny bit of humidity, however, your clothes ARE dry. Don't believe the reviews that say items are wet. The most awesome feature is that it is ventless. My room doesn't get hot from a hot exhaust pipe. I don't need a hole in the wall.

Best tower I've ever owned

familyofthree August 10, 2024

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My wife and I absolutely love this tower. It is the best washer/dryer units we have ever owned. Honestly, we weren't sure what to expect with this being out first ventless setup. It has completely exceed out expectations and outperformed all of the other high end vented units we have owned in the past. (A delivery / install tip - the top and bottom unit can be detached and reattached easily.)

Very frustrating dryer

MaxPlanck June 1, 2025

The washer works well and saves quite a bit of water and detergent. The choice of cycles is impressive, although the LG app is clumsy and unintuitive. The dryer is another matter. It automatically decides how long to dry, which is typically about 2 hours. It spins too fast, rolling sheets into a big enchilada in about 5 minutes and then can't dry more than the outside of the rolled up sheets. We have to run down to it every 10 minutes to unroll the sheets log. The controls are impossible. I'm a software engineer and I can't figure out how to set a timed dry. There's a "more time" and a "less time" button, but it never accepts a press on them. You just have to accept that it will decide to run for 2 hours and set a kitchen timer to tell you when to go check if the load is dry. I'd like to rip out the controls and put in a mechanical count-down timer!

Great washer -- terrible dryer

MKeil July 5, 2024

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My wife loves the washer. It does everything that LG promises in its ads. BUT the dryer is an utter failure in design and function. If you are drying regular clothes, it does an adequate job. If you are doing sheets of any kind or size, it fails utterly to dry these items. What it does do is roll the sheets up into a tight cigar that refuses to dry. 5 hours later the sheets are not dry and one has to repeatedly open the door and remove the sheets and struggle to unwrap them, then put them back into the dryer.Additionally, there is NO cool down cycle. It runs hot and that's it. If you let clothes sit in the dryer for ANY length of time, they wrinkle terribly. As I siad in the title for this review, great washer, in fact the best we have used, but the worst dryer one can imagine.

Dryer has had me in tears (of frustration)

erica24 July 7, 2025

The washer is great but the dryer almost brings me to tears every time I use it. Tears of utter frustration!!! I do NOT like to torch my clothes in the dryer. I prefer a really low heat. There is absolutely NO low heat setting?! I read the manual front to back, did a deep dive into the specialized cycles, NO ability to control the temperature of the air? I put it on the “air dry” cycle and even that was heated? Crazy thing is that a couple of times I was running it on normal cycle and when I opened up the dryer the clothes were still cold so apparently there was no heat? I am unable to find any ability to control the temperature anywhere though?! Also, the clothes will be totally dry and there will still be an hour of drying time remaining! Essentially, I have to continually check my clothes throughout the entire dry cycle and pull them out one by one so that they don't get over cooked. SO time consuming! It works fine for towels, that you want to torch, but for any of my other clothing items it is totally worthless. Absolutely the worst! I've given it about two months now but I think I've finally decided to sell them. I'm going to take the financial loss and have to buy myself another set. It's just not worth the frustration and time suck anymore….
