[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine is great. I had to replace my LG Tromm Immediately and I love the new features that come with this machine, including WIFI.
We had it for 2 weeks and we are qiite happy w purchase. Does the job well. When it says ultra_large means ultra large. O did a whole basket of dark colors and I still had room. Ome minor issue, the installers connected the inside cable to the dryer like for a 3 plug but it should have been for a 4 plug. It took 2 hours to determine what it was thinking that the house plug was the issue. Be careful amd tell your installer to run the dryer past 2 min becayse that's when the nP (no power) code comes in.
Even though it says large capacity, I still think I don't load it as full as I did our old top loader. Maybe I overloaded the old one. Either way, it does a fine job of cleaning clothes and uses less water and the cycles take less time to run. There are plenty of preset options to choose from and each one gives you specific info on water temp & level and time remaining on the cycle. I really like the superior job that the spin cycle does of getting water out of the clothes. Less water in the clothes means less drying time in dryer. I do leave the door open to dry out the tub & door after each load to prevent a musty smell, but I did that with my top loader too, so nothing new there.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband does most of the laundry but I like the machine. It has so many settings we've never used. And who knew it had to be cleaned ? Otherwise, it's cool.
Due to spouses arthritis of neck and shoulders, we purchased this washer to replace a top loader. After researching several reviews, we purchased this model. This is an amazing washing machine. It is quiet. It washes a large load with no problem. Our water bill was reduced from $54.00/month to $24.00/month. This is the best washing machine I have ever owned. I purchaaed the washer and have been using for a few weeks. I belong to consumer reports online where I researched. Everything they said was spot on happy with the product. It did well with a load that wasn't balanced, it cleaned clothes much better than the ten year old Bosch I replaced. The turbo cycle speeds up the washing time, and we completed a load in 50 minutes. Draw back it's all electronic so it takes awhile to figure it out, and I am still doing that. I always think they should supply a instruction sheet that's laminated and you can post by the washer. I have college age daughters that will require a lesson before they use. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I bought this washer to replace my 13 year old Bosch. This machine is so loud in comparison when the water is pumping in and also on high spin speeds. It is a very nice looking machine with so many features I have not yet explored. I agree that the settings screen should be backlit or something for easier reading. I am also unfamiliar with the need to drain the little hose on the front. What is that all about? As I stated, I am spoiled by Bosch and since they no longer make large machines I had to try something else. I hope this one lasts 13 years. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Units are solid! My beef is that the matching washer is finished in a white-white, and the 'white' dryer is noticeably darker grayer white. Next to each other it's super obvious. Did I get a defect or is this normal? The delivery guy says yes he sees this now and then!?How can they sell a matching pair and the white tone be so off from one to the other. Would you accept this if your shoes were different tone? Is this a known issue? If this can be fixed I'd recommend these, if not I would not. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For the most part I like this washing machine. I do find it a bit loud, but most machines are somewhat loud. It works well enough. My primary gripe is that I have to replace the drain pump/motor assembly every few years. Granted, I have 6 children so I'm sure this machine gets a bit more use than usual, but in 6 years I am about to replace it for the fourth time. That's just crazy. I've had second-hand top loaders I bought off Craigslist that last longer and washed just as well (also cost less). Please stop using garbage and stuff designed to fail.
My wife and I researched washers for several weeks before purchasing this LG washer. We bought this machine because it had the best reviews. If I could, I would return this washer for a different brand. But because there is a limited time to make a return (LG restriction), we are stuck with this washer for years to come. I have two major complaints about this washer 1.) The washer vibrates violently when trying to spin clothes. Of course LG insisted the washer was not level, or the load was not sorted correctly. LG sent a repair man to our house. He confirmed that the washer was perfectly level, and replaced a part he though might help. No change. The washer shakes violently every time, and the repair man confirmed that vibration was the number one complaint with LG washing machines. After researching potential fixes on-line, I finally found an ugly fix. I purchased pool foam noodles, and wedged them between the washing machine, the wall, and the dryer. While the machine still shakes wildy with every load, the foam absorbes a lot of the vibration. I am very unhappy with this issue!!!!!! 2.) Clothes do not rinse well because LG designed the washer for extreme water savings. While I believe in conservation, I also do not like wearing stiff clothing with residual soap in the fabric. We have reduced the soap used per load to such a low amount I doubt our clothes are clean after a violent final spin cycle finishes. But even with an additional rinse, I still am not confident they are rinsed sufficiently. Needless to say, this is not what I expected from a top-rated machine!!! So to summarize, we have found the vibration during spin cycles unacceptable, and the wash/rinse performance very poor. I am not a complainer, and this is the first on-line product review I have ever written. My personal advice is to not waste your money on an LG washer, and research other brands. While I cannot vouch for other machines, they almost certainly have to be better than this machine.
