I bought this washer a few months ago and I am very happy with it. It has a large capacity of 5.0 cu. ft. that can fit a lot of clothes, towels, and bedding. It also has a variety of cycles and options to choose from, depending on the type and amount of laundry I have. The 6Motion technology uses different motions to agitate the clothes and remove dirt and stains effectively. The washer is also very quiet and energy-efficient, which I appreciate. Some of the features that I like are the auto detergent dispenser, which automatically dispenses the right amount of detergent for each load, the deep fill option, which allows me to add extra water for heavily soiled items, and the end-of-cycle signal, which lets me know when the wash is done. The washer also has a stainless steel tub, which is durable and easy to clean. The only downside that I can think of is that the washer is quite tall, so I have to bend down to reach the bottom of the tub. This might be an issue for some people who have back problems or are shorter than me. However, this is not a deal-breaker for me, as I can use a stool or a grabber tool to get the clothes out. Overall, I would recommend this washer to anyone who is looking for a high-quality, high-efficiency, and high-capacity top-load washer. It does a great job of cleaning my clothes and has many features that make it convenient and user-friendly. It is also reasonably priced for its performance and quality.
I'll agree with all the suggested review topics. It's efficient no vibration I can hear upstairs or noise. I love the deep water selection. Most newer washers put barely any water into the drum so you think the laundry wasn't cleaned good enough. It has a larger capacity than my last washer which is definitely plus. My husband tends to do big loads at a time since he has all dark clothes. The cycles are about an hour except certain ones that require soaking or extra rinses. All over great product.
I bought this washer and matching dryer about 6 weeks ago. I've been married for 49 years and have lots of experience with laundry having tried all kinds of machines, several brands and front load as well as top load. This machine has an enormous capacity, which is great when the kids & grandkids come to visit. But it also handles the small, frequent loads I do when there are just two of us. The key to a perfect experience is to read the manual and load the machine correctly. I will admit that I made a couple of mistakes; the "impeller" is a new thing for me. Now that I understand it better, I've had zero problems. I love that the machine automatically weighs the load and determines the correct amount of water. I love the options, including "Heavy Duty," "Bedding," "Waterproof." and "Delicate." I've tried them all. The machine is as quiet as any piece of machinery through which water runs can be. The only time I hear it is when it is draining. The rest of the cycle is quiet. I love the musical chimes at the end. In summary....I am both experienced and picky, having achieved, at my age, the status of "professional laundress." I am very satisfied with this beautiful LG machine, and fully expect it to last for many years.
This is truly a Dream Machine! After my non-LG washer's computer crashed, after only 3 years, I did extensive research and chose the LG. It is fast and fantastic! The swiftness in doing loads is noticeable. Also, the load capacity is extraordinary - I've washed a very large rug with great results. I am beyond pleased with the quality of this machine and highly recommend it!
I am very happy with my new washer. I do wish it had a “permanent press” cycle. Instead you have to choose between Normal and Delicate. I think some items (in particular men's shirts) would do better in a Permanent Press cycle. (The Normal is a bit too harsh but the Delicate not quite enough). I also am getting used to the fact that no water will go into the washer until the lid is closed and then it locks. With my old washer I could allow water to flow in with the door open. That way I could use that water to pre-treat shirt collars, throw the shirts in and then close the door.
The machine works well with regular clothes, however when washing sheets and comforter covers the items bundle up and the washers stops due to it being out of balance. Have to manually adjust and start over. I thought the technology would be better. I could not find anywhere in the manual how these items should be loaded so it may be user error. I tried the bedding setting (which is for comforters, etc.) but the washer fills up completely, then drains several times - I guess it is trying to adjust the load?? - it wastes gallons of water which I do not like. I would be happy to get some suggestions on how to wash a load of clothes - in my 63 years I have washed many loads so some experience here. Would love to hear from LG on this.
We researched a lot of washers. We chose this brand and model because of the features and brand reputation. We have been trying out the different wash cycles and still having trouble with the lack of water in the loads. We have used the added water feature, but sometimes it puts in too much water. It is all or nothing. Because this one has a clear lid, we are able to see what is happening during the wash. It still doesn't seem like it is moving the clothes around enough, even on the heavy soil. We are using a table spoon of liquid detergent with a full load and still have had soap debris on a few of the items coming out of the washer. Items get stuck in a spot and never move causing them not to get fully rinsed. I am just not sure if there is really any washer out there that works as good as the old ones where you set the water level, temp. and agitation level. The cycles take such a long time and I don't think they spend enough time and movement when washing the clothing. We purchased the model with the impeller because we were afraid the agitator would damage the clothing with the low water levels. I would give this washer an average rating. I have to watch each load to see if it needs more water or not. Not an easy - put clothes in, set the cycle and go - but takes up more of my time to oversee each time.
Like so many of today's needlessly complicated appliances, this washer does and adequate job IF ( and that's a BIG if) you can figure out how to use it without any decent directions.I got the printed semi generic user manual on line in hard copy. It is useless . It tells you things that would be obvious to any caveman but doesn't tell you how to use the features you need. Then it goes on to caution you that some instructions may or may not apply to your specific model. I guess you just have to…..guess!!
This is only weeks old. First time I used it using normal setting I figured it was malfunctioning. It put in about 2 inches of water and started agitating. Clothing barely wet, certainly not even close to covered. Repair tech said this is how it's supposed to be, some modern washers use less water. lol smh Less water fine, not enough bad. This is BS. Poor design poor function. Online reviews were great so don't trust. Ask friends and family for recommendation instead. Live and learn.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This washer was a great disappointment. It uses a LOT of water, but as the machine is filling, the water is not reaching the entire load. Consequently, parts of the clothes sit high and dry and stay that way during a a good part of the cycle. And, once they finally get pulled into the water, other parts of the load come to the surface and then just sit ON TOP of the water instead of getting pulled under. So, at any given time, there is a lot of water in the drum, but the but the clothes are not being "swished" through it. This is not a very efficient use of water or energy, and I don't feel like the clothes are getting clean by spending so much time out of the water.
