[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this washer about a month and a half ago. We probably wash 5 loads a week. Once you read the manual and do a few loads it's pretty easy to use. I use the normal setting 95% of the time and make adjustments to that for Towels and White clothes. We changed the way we dry clothes too. I no longer use softener in the wash (it just leaves residue on the tub). I put 3 wool balls with a few drops of scented oil on them in the dryer. That makes the clothes dry faster and there's no need for dryer sheets. I also turned the heat down to medium. Clothes come out soft and fluffy with no static, especially the towels. We've been married 46 years and I was the lucky one that read the manual and inherited doing the laundry job. I actually like it. Now I'm the chief cook and laundry washer. She folds everything and does dishes. Hint: READ THE MANUAL and don't be afraid to experiment with the settings.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using this washer for a couple of weeks and so far, it cleans well; is relatively quiet (for a washer.) The smart features are convenient because I usually forget to move the laundry along. The washer looks great and overall, I highly recommend it. The waterproof mode also cleans well and didn't damage the waterproof things I washed. I can also fit most of the weekly laundry for 2 people.

I purchased this washer 8/2020. I absolutely love this washer. My laundry room is on the second floor and this machine is so quiet. It is so smart. This baby determines the right amount of water, never goes out of balance, gently gets my clothes clean and lets me know when it s time to unload. Couldn't ask for anything more. Did I mention I love the color?

At first I loved this washer but now with all these problems I don't know how to feel I wonder if I just got a defective one??

I do not like this machine at all. It doesn't clean clothes. I've tried every setting, every hack, every recommendation. I've cleaned it and scrubbed it. I've used less soap more soap. Let it air out, left the door and soap dispenser open after each use and still our clothes smell.

This machine now needs all components other than the motor replaced. This has been confirmed by your texh after an onsite diagnostic visit. In the course of my life, I have purchased use washers that outperformed this machine. Service tech is terrific! However, I won't purchase another poor performing inferior LG product. Honest enough?

The absolute worst washing machine that I have ever owned. My clothes should not come out of the washing machine dirtier than when they go in. I am now running the tub clean cycle twice per week. Halfway through the tub clean cycle when the water level is high I take a strainer that I bought specifically for this purpose because it is so disgusting and strain out the chunks of brown stuff...not sure how else to describe it but it is disgusting. My husband has taken the machine apart numerous times, and we have cleaned it the best we can but the areas where the brown chunks are the worst we are not able to access. I use very little detergent. What a huge waste of money. Will never purchase another LG product again and the washing machine and dryer will be gone next week. (My LG dryer and refrigerator are a huge disappointment as well). These were not cheap appliances. I would expect better.

Worst in terms of dirt buildup issue. regret buying this LG top-load washer. No matter how often I clean it, this machine constantly builds up dirt and grime inside the drum and around the holes. That dirt ends up coming back out onto my clothes during the rinse or spin cycle. It's disgusting. I ran the tub-clean cycle regularly, cleaned the drum manually, wiped down every part I could reach, used the right amount of detergent — you name it, I tried it. The problem keeps coming back because of the washer's design. There are too many crevices and holes where residue gets stuck, and when the washer rinses without spraying water, all that trapped dirt gets pushed onto the clothes instead of being flushed out.
