LG WT7400CV 5.5 Cu. Ft. Graphite Steel Smart Top Load Washer

Got this a little over a week ago to replace our 15 year old washer that was getting very long in the tooth. This uses way less water, and still the clothes come out even cleaner than the old machine. We've used it for large loads of bedding, as well as normal every day clothes. So far it has handled everything we've thrown at it with ease. Highly recommended.

We bought the WT7400 to replace a 2.5 year old WT7300. The WT7300 had power button issues 4 months after purchase. Had LG technicians out for repair twice (Jan & Feb 2021). Had good results until October 2022. Same issues came back. Why did I purchase another LG Washer? Not sure but we hope the power button issues have been improved

I have had this washer for a little over two months now and am absolutely loving it. It's big enough to handle my oversize king comforters with ease. No more running to the laundromat to wash comforters. I love all the options the washer has for washing clothes. The Wi-Fi feature is great! Once the app is setup on your phone, you can monitor the status of the cycle. Not only does it show how much time is left, but it also sends a push notice when the washer is done. No more running up and down the stairs to check on the status of the washer. You can even turn it on remotely. The washer does a good job of cleaning clothes while using much less water than my old one.

I am a heavy user as I have a big family. This washing machine has held up well under heavy use. I love all the different settings and features. The capacity is amazing. I can easily fit my large comforter. My only complaint is that sometimes when I open it the lid makes a "popping" sound.

I purchased this machine in November 2022 after doing much research. I liked the features and the size. It did a good job washing my king size comforter. However, it took me a little while to figure out that for a small load I had to choose the option on the downloaded app. My only problem was once the machine was unbalanced and I just wanted to drain the water and spin the clothes dry. I had to call the customer support line for the man to tell me I had to hold the button down for 3 seconds. Nowhere on the machine or in the materials provided did it say that. Even when I did that, more water came pouring in before it spun it dry. Other than that I have been very happy with my choice of LG in both the washer & dryer.

This washer is the best washer I have ever bought. It is big enough for my family with everyday load. It has all wash modes which I have ever needed. The nice notification on the phone always reminds me when the load is done. The only thing which bugs me is I need to turn on the washer before I can remote start it. I also need to physical press the remote start button for 3 seconds to do so. I think this is very inconvenient and I hope it can be improved in the future.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The good: cycles are pretty quick, it’s easy enough to customize cycles, and the clothes come out fine. It’s efficient. The less good: randomly leaked one time. Makes a terrible metallic clinking noise when changing steps in a cycle that is very disconcerting. Haven’t had a chance to test it yet with something really dirty to know how well it does. Should be better for the price. I suspect it won’t last for 10+ years like my old one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I want everyone to know that I am very pleased with my LG washer. We use to have a front load washer and sometimes I had to do the wash twice. The blue tooth technology is really helpful when I am alerted that my wash is done. My front load washer took forever. Also, the alerts are very helpful. So far so good in every aspect .11 months

The washing functionality works well but after 27 months of ownership we started getting foul orders coming from the tub. This is a top loader! We always left lid and dispenser opened when not in use. We did all the recommended Tub Cleaning cycles but would only remedy the situation for a couple of days. Then the garment staining started, ruined multiple articles. Now have read enough reviews to know it is a common problem with this model. Would not recommend this one.

I bought this washer because it was the only washing machine that would fit through my basement door. It is nice to look at, but if you need to see the different functions,you need to put on glasses. The machine bunches up the sheets which causes the machine to go off balance. The last minute of any spin cycle goes on forever not a minute like it says and still the clothes come out not fully wrung out . The only decent feature is the turbo wash
