When your key fob battery dies, you are out of luck trying to start a modern car. This battery is essential to the operation of your vehicle. And these types of batteries do wear out like mine did. I was stuck not being able to start my car. Found replacement batteries through Walmart and bought a package. They have been a life saver. I keep a spare for both key fobs in case this happens to me again.
