Way too strong. I can't stress this enough. Any normal adult shouldn't ingest more than 1mg of methylfolate a day. That is the equivalent of 1000 mcg. The potency of these is 8500 mcg which is the equivalent of 8-1/2 mg methylfolate.
After taking these for a few days, my husband and I started experiencing severe side effects including agitation, irritability, and especially joint aches. We both were having bad discomfort in our hips and lower back and we were unaware of what was causing these sudden attacks.
When I read the list of over-methylation, and they all were on the list, we immediately stopped taking them. He waited a week before starting a normal dosed 1000 mcg methylfolate supplement. It has been a week and a half for me. I plan to use a pill cutter and take a quarter pill every 2 days within a week, skip a day, then start another round.
So I'm telling everyone, they shouldn't be taking even 1 whole pill a week. It's not safe and will cause a series of health problems.
