Two things: Life Extensions Reishi extract, at 1000 mg, are potent. I am a grown man, six feet tall. The very first capsule I took, I felt it working in about ten minutes. I took one cap. It has a seditive effect, about the equivelent of drinking one beer. However, Walmart really screwed up my order in every way possible: Shipping delays, breaking my order of two items into two different shipments, wrong city on shipping label, etc. From now on I will pay a few extra bucks if need be, and order from Amazon if I can.

If everything described on the bottle is true, then considering its price, it is the most preferable among all the similar products on the market. It is a bit more expensive than others but it ensures the level of absorbable nutrition as well as the right proportion of triterpene that makes reishi medicinal.

I have used Reishi Extract Mushroom Complex for the past several years. The main reason I started using it is I read studies on how the product may prevent shingles in persons that have had Chicken Pox. However, I used to get cold sores quite frequently on my lips, usually from UV exposure or stress. Since I started taking the Reishi product, I noticed that I no longer get cold sores. I can only assume that the Reishi product also has preventive properties for cold sores.

I love this product. I have been using it for years. I have bought other brands before but I believe LE is better quality. Any time I feel like I'm getting sick, I take Reishi. Typically, it knocks out the nasty bug. I keep Reishi in my cabinet! It's a necessity!
