if it was a big green egg it would have cost at least $400 more with the stand, side tables, and extra accessories. it takes a little time to get used to allowing the heat to come up and not have it get to hot, but it is a learning curve. my only complaint is i can't find a heat diffuser large enough for it.

I havent used the product yet but assembly was easy. Review is on the freight company Sams uses to deliver Pilot. Grill was to be delivered on the 10th of Dec, I called 3 times filled out and sent 2 formes to Pilot, it wasnt untill the 4th call, i was able to speak with someone and get a delivery date. Grill was finally delivered on the 27th and care was not taken during transport or delivery.

I've had over a month and have done done a couple of smoked briskets, a pork butt roast and several grilled items. It maintains heat well and you can probably keep running for more than 14 hrs. Don't be stingy with the coal if you're doing a long cook. Takes some getting used to in setting the right temperature but once you know how it is a breeze. The 1 star penalty is for the pizza stone/deflector, either the grill grate sits on it or vice versa, there is no space allowance for convection air in between. I will figure something out but this is a no brainer, life smart could've done better with that. other than that, I am extremely happy with this. highly recommend it.

Works great. Be sure to calibrate the thermometer in boiling water before using. Check your altitude.

I received this for Christmas and cooked a ribeye roast that was delicious. Instructions on internet were more helpful. Takes a little getting use to setting temperatures but on line guidance was spot on. It heats up quickly to grilling temp.

I bought this for my husbands Christmas gift. He has had other smokers but this one is top of the line. Less smoking time, uses less charcoal and the meat is very moist. Perfect gift!!!

Cooking with this smoker has yielded excellent results on the way meat has come out of the smoker. I think the cons to this unit is the wire grill top and the thermometer in my grill.

This grill/smoker is awesome. Well made, reasonably priced and looks great. I smoked a pork butt the first week I got it and worked perfectly.

Im over 60 and this is the greatest type grill I've used.

My husband love this. We had use over 10 times, and we only had it a month.
