Many ac techs will tell you that paper filters ruin your ac unit and are expensive. I would agree. This one is high quality. Only thing I would nit pick is that it could use a sticker that says what side to wash it with. You want to keep the dirty particles on one side and wash it back out the side it came from
Much more convenient than buying filters as needed. Just wash and place back in system.
Correct size, looks sophisticated and hope the cleaning will not be hard.
Size is right. It works perfect. Nee to wait and see how hard the cleaning will be.
This is a good permanent filter for Trane Central/ducted heat pumps. Due to the odd dimensions of Trane filters 20x22x1, this was the only place I could find the correct size. You can't buy this size in stores only paper single use filters from the dealers.
Perfect fit! We had difficulty finding 24x30x1 paper A/C filter. Searched on line and found this washable filter.
To be fair, just about every brand of rigid permanent filter is slightly smaller than the filter size it replaces, and this is no exception. I replaced a mid-grade disposable 3M filter, and this was not exactly the same size, this was about 1/8th smaller. That's because cardboard filters can be forced and squeezed into slightly too small openings (if you have one), whereas rigid or semi-rigid aluminum (this is aluminum) or plastic won't, so almost all of them are a bit smaller than the exact size. They have to make a choice, and almost all rigid filters are a bit smaller than their cardboard counterparts. It's up to us to make up that difference. In my case, the slight difference in size left a gap where air could completely bypass the filter on one of the four sides of the filter. I used weatherstripping with one sticky side to make my 12 by 12 fit. Overall, that does the job, but I do have to take it out and add a little more weatherstripping. How well will the weatherstripping survive a cleaning, remains to be seen. I may end up taking the old cardboard filter, carefully cutting out the filter, leaving the cardboard frame, and using both. As far as perceived quality, it seems good.
I was hoping to see an arrow for air direction but this one didn't one
It arrived damaged. It looks like USPS threw it around. The filter was dented almost all the through both sides. I tried to return it but walmart.com would not even acknowledge that I purchased it there.
This company is doing false advertising and creating fraud because the product they are sending is in no way an electrostatic filter.
