Lifetime Basketball Backboard and Rim Combo, 48 inch Polycarbonate (90010)

We just installed the new backboard last weekend and so far so good! Our last backboard broke after 9 years so we needed to replace it. Getting the old "hardware" off the mounting system was a bit of a challenge because of the age of the system. Word of advice...if you are replacing a backboard take pictures of how the current one is assembled. The directions are a bit difficult to follow but having pictures helped out tremendously!

Purchased a backboard and rim combo. Parts bag was missing some hardware. Very nice women in customer service had new hardware shipped out and confirmation email received in minutes. Very nice dealing with a company that cares about their customers. Thanks!

After 1 week very happy, instructions were good, maybe these have been improved recently, just took some patience to figure things out. I did check the nuts fitting onto the bolts the day before we installed and the nuts did not go on smoothly to any of the bolts, so I recommend you try these before, and make sure you have all the hardware necessary. A few dollars on new nuts that went on smoothly saved a lot of frustration. The hardware LifeTime provides appears very cheap, bolts and nuts at Ace are cheap and will be easier to install. I also used the Lifetime Universal Mount to hang the backboard and same thing, all the hardware was there, just had to get new nuts that fit. I used 5/16" threaded rod to mount the adapter all the way thru my brick to the inside of the garage with nuts and washers on each end to make sure it was secure, You can cut the threaded rod with a hacksaw. I didn't trust just using brick screws.

Installed this on a large driveway garage / shed for a customer. We used the Lifestime mount - what a great result. The children absolutely love it - it looks and performs just like a professional model!

took care of my issue with no problem

I bought this backboard as a replacement for one I already had (it was old and broken). I thought that by buying an exact replacement, it would just fit right on the post the same way the old one did... nope. Even though I thought I was ordering a replacement, they've changed the mounting so you're forced to buy the bracket.

Replaced 52" backboard and backboard (and rim) now tilted backward ~10 degrees
