Lifetime Big Stuff Swing Set with Tube Slide (91383)

There are so many amazing details that truly make it the best place for kids to use their imagination. From the chalkboard and ship's wheel to the binoculars and car racetrack, every detail was so thoughtful and designed with kids in mind. We are so impressed with how sturdy and solid this playset is and are so happy that we won't ever have to paint or stain it over the years because of the materials it is made of. The whole process was extremely simple from receiving the product to setup. The slide is my daughter's FAVORITE feature. I would recommend this swing-set to any family that is looking for a high quality product that will last for years and years.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a review of the Lifetime Big Stuff Swing Set and Tube Slide. Several features make this set stand out from similar options. The one that stands out the most, is the unique spiral slide. We've never seen a spiral slide on a residential playset before. We feel it adds a bit more mystery while playing because you can't see the bottom of the slide from the top. Also, being covered feels a bit more exciting to little kids than a regular slide, and it is a perfect size for our four year old. We also like that the kids exit away from the swings. A surprisingly fun feature is the spinning seat that hangs under the deck. This is very similar to ride on toys that allow you to grab a handle and spin around. This has been more fun than the typical suspended bench we've seen in other play sets. We've enjoyed the swings as well. Many other backyard playsets have only two swing spots, and we like that this one has 3 spots next to each other. We appreciate that these swings have fully coated chains, instead of a rubber sleeve. We've felt that the sleeve on other sets tends to leave exposed areas at the ends that can pinch, and stiffens up the chains making the swings feel less free than those at a public park. This set, with its fully coated chains, avoids those issues. The designs on the deck and inside the playset are our favorite we've seen. The deck has an actually useful and fun design, with a small road and little buildings perfect for driving Hot Wheels-sized cars around, and the forest pattern around the slide entrance gives a nice feel. We like that the green and tan colors feel more natural than the many bright primary colors used in some public playgrounds. We have ours set next to a small stand of scrub oak trees and it feels a bit like an extension of the trees. Assembly instructions were relatively clear. A grate installation video is also available that can help clarify things. The assembly did take several days, however, so be aware that it requires a significant amount of time, in part becdause the spiral slide is manufactuered in sections, and you need to take your time to very carefully make sure you get the rotation just right. Overally the assembly went together well. A few spots I would have liked to have seen done differently were the ladder rungs were screws, and it felt like they'd be better suited to use the same nuts that most of the rest of the setup uses. When attaching the rock wall, the wall must be screwed into the metal supports. Having pre-drilled holes in the legs would have made this step quicker and prevented metal shavings around the playset. While the assembly video is awesome, I do think color instructions could be very helpful, even if they're just two color, highlighting parts to be careful of like small holes in the correct orientation. I would also like to see the instructions have you build the slide last instead of first, as it took us a few days to get everything put together and during that time the slide was rolling around the yard. We are really excited about this play set, and think it will be a great fit for our family!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Good The Big Stuff Swing Set with Tube Slide was easy to assemble, although it did take about two full days because there is just a lot of work involved. The instructions are pretty clear, and the videos provided were okay. I recommend following the paper instructions and only referencing the video when something is unclear. With the videos, it's difficult to tell which part is which, while the drawings make it clear. The colors are nice, and the quality looks great. The play set is pretty big, but I think in a typical suburban yard it will fit fine. My favorite features are the tower design and the tube slide. The tower is mostly open at the bottom so the sprinklers can still get to the grass underneath, and fitting a lawn mower underneath will still be possible. The tube slide is great because it helps slow toddlers down so they don't just fall off the end of the slide when they get to the bottom. The Bad It would be nice if the boxes were divided by step better so that when you start a step, everything you need is included in the same box. I lost a lot of time trying to find components. For connecting the slide to the playhouse, I wish the bolts were longer to help pull the slide into place, as that was probably the most difficult part. The play set also fits fairly snug in our yard since we have one of the smaller yards in our neighborhood, so be sure to measure your space before purchasing. Overall, it's great play set, great quality, easy to put together, just takes a long time to build.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our family highly recommends the Big Stuff swing set with Tube Slide. The assembly went well. It was easy to follow the manual instructions. We did not need the video. It would have been helpful if the parts of the swing set were individually labeled. The color of the swing set blends in nicely with our backyard. We like that the colors are more neutral, and not bold. The yellow accessories under the canopy are a fun feature for the kiddos. Our favorite feature is the tube slide. It is the perfect size for a three year old or a ten year old. The slide doesn't get hot because it is enclosed!!! Our other favorite feature is the landing with the canopy. This space stays cool and is perfect for two kids to play under. The chalkboard accessory is a fun addition to the swing set. The size of the swing set is ideal. It is big enough for several kids to play at the same time, but not so big that it takes up too much space in our backyard. The size is adequate so the kids aren't bumping into one another as they move from one feature to the next. Lastly, the swing set is made with top quality materials. This was evident as we were assembling the swing set and even more evident as our grandchildren play on it. We know the swing set will last for years to come for our growing family's enjoyment right in our own backyard!!! This was given to us by lifetime as part of their product review program. We agreed to build it and leave an honest review, in exchange, they let us keep it. We were extremely excited about this opportunity. Our kids have already had so much fun playing on the playset. Overall, it was simple to build and didn't take very long with two people. It is also very well built and sturdy. I don't have to worry about my kids getting hurt on it. We look forward to a play set that will last us many years and provide our kids and others with lots of fun!

I don't have worry about it tipping while swinging. The clubhouse has been one of the favorite features, with the binoculars and the ships wheel they play pirates all the time! The tube slide had is great addition to the playset. As a parent I always look for safety and low maintenance, it has round edges, has plastic caps so I don't have to worry about wasp going in the holes. I like the colors and not having to worry about wood splinters or fading! It's a win for all of us!

The assembly was pretty self explanatory and with the instruction manual and online videos, anyone could put one of these together. My favorite thing is how most of the necessary panels aren't just space fillers. There are cute designs and engravings everywhere! Every surface serves a purpose for play and safety! There's a cute chalkboard wall, the floor is a map for cars, and there are stars on the ceiling! Everything just feels really safe, comfortable, and fun. The swings are wide enough to comfortably fit an adult, and the chains are covered in rubber to avoid pinched fingers. This play set has the coolest slide ever! My kids are already so obsessed. I don't know how they fit so much into such a relatively small space, while still feeling so roomy! It fits perfectly in our yard and really utilizes vertical space instead of taking up a ton of space on the lawn. SO GOOD! We love this play set!

And they have also had friends over from the neighborhood to play including new ones. The installation crew was punctual, professional, and worked quickly. They conversed with us on the best placement for our play set. Our favorite features are the tube slide and the swings. I also love that you can change out the swings/bar for the spider swing easily. The kids love the chalk board and the wheel. I also love that it has a little bit of shade over the top so they can play during the day. I love that the green color matches the green grass. I feel like it all blends together and looks nice in our yard. The set is the perfect size for our backyard. You can have kids using all three swings at the same time. There is plenty of room around it for safety. We also like that the play set is easy to maintain compared to a wood play set.
