[Employee of walmartcanada] A month ago my doctor gave me a plan to improve my health. The fitness tracker fits the need to monitor my heart rate, number of steps and timing of my workouts. It also has a memory of the previous workout which I think is a bonus. And it has the flexibility to track so much more that I might use in the future. I am happier with my product than any of those of my friends which I saw before I made my choice.
Works good because I wanted something that didn't record by schedule and it doesn't need to be charged
This is the third time I have purchased this tracker over a 12 plus year period. I have owned Garmin's and Polar ❤️Monitors. The outdated “ primitive “ Lifetrak surpasses all the high tech trackers, without apps, charging, or Bluetooth. I have been a Fitness Director for 25 years, a competitive runner, water aerobics instructor, and member of a dance troupe for 11 years. I am definitely an old geezer, but at the end of the day, with a basic Lifetrak 200, you just know that everything you have done that day is close to accurate. When they quit, it is because they have put up with more than any smart watch could begin to tolerate.
I've put myself on a new fitness program and got this to make pulse checks easier and help me measure my progress. At first, I thought the calories burned and pedometer/distance features would be very helpful. But the calories burned is wildly inaccurate - has me burning over 4,000 calories a day, when it should be somewhere in the neighborhood of 3,000-3,100 calories. If I was burning that many calories, I'd be losing a pound every day or two. I wish! The steps taken is also showing quite a bit higher than what I'm actually doing, but that might be correctable by setting the motion sensitivity lower. The distance measurements are off by about 20-25%. The pulse checks seem accurate enough, but it's tough to do a pulse check during a workout because it doesn't seem to want to give you a reading if you're in motion at all. It's kind of hard to be perfectly still when you're exercising. I'll keep using this a while longer, but I'm doing product research to find something better.
I purchased this watch. It died after 30 days. When I contacted the seller Rally Bargains, they said they wouldn't replace it. I paid $50!!! It also took three emails for me to receive a response. DO NOT BUY!!
