he LiftMaster 87504-267 offers a comprehensive solution for those seeking a quiet, feature-rich garage door opener with integrated smart home capabilities. Its security features, including the built-in camera and MyQ connectivity, are particularly appealing. However, buyers should be aware that the rail assembly is not included and budget for its separate purchase. Some users have experienced minor installation and wireless range issues, which should be considered when making a purchasing decision.
Extremely simple installation (replacement of 20-year old Liftmaster!)
Our builder put in screw drive openers, and 16 years later the first one one failed. Had these installed yesterday and have been completely happy with them. WiFi setup and MyQ set right up. I can not get over how quiet these new units are over the old ones. The door going up and down is louder than the opener. The lights are BRIGHT, and I like the fact that I don't have to get up on ladder to replace bulbs anymore. Not that it was a big deal I think I did it once on the old units.
This is a very good quality opener. Excellent in quality and performance. Very smooth and quiet. Built very well. This was very easy to set up MyQ and the camera via the MyQ app. The remote is a three button so I can use it for extra doors and features. I highly recommend this opener if your in the market for a premium product. I recommend this opener over and product that happens to have a red ribbon or aladdin in the brand name.
First problem is the manual here for the 84505 shows controls on the motor that are not on mine? The wall pad is different, too. This means that I don't have the "actuator" button that the manual says to use. The My-Q app paired to the door opener motor OK, but it can't pair the camera!? The camera lights cycle green/blue fast and then goes back to slow when it fails to connect. The support pages here are useless, as well. I'm going to have to call my installer, now. Sad.
I purchased the installation option that came with my order, which connected me to Angi and their contractors. However, they were unable to complete the installation because the rail and other essential parts were not included in the package. After several unsuccessful attempts, I had to hire professional garage door installers to purchase the necessary parts and complete the job, which cost me over $500. Despite this, I have not received a refund for the installation service I paid for through Walmart.
Bought with Angi's installation and after multiple reschedules, person never showed up. I was informed I was on my own after waiting for 2 weeks. Walmart and Angi's customer service were really disappointing. Returning it.
Have newly installed 84505R. Bad logic board. They sent replacement only to find that camera was also nonfunctional. New camera being sent. Lemon garage door electronic. The motor works and life time warranty vs 1 year on electronics. I would not buy again.
Purchased and installed by dealer. WiFi set up attempted 4 weeks later. Spent 3 hrs trying to get MyQ working but eventually got on call w support indicating a bad logic board. They sent new logic board which allowed WiFi but camera not functioning . What a headache. Otherwise opener is quiet and smooth but QC is bad . Will need to contact support again to get cameraman working.
I've had nothing but problems with this. Consistently loses Wi-Fi signal and right now the keypad and the remote both do absolutely nothing. Complete garbage
