4 weeks ago, I replaced my garage doors and motors for the Liftmaster motors. These are the quietest motors you will ever find! I enabled the Amazon Key feature to allow in-garage delivery. However my wife thought we should add extra security, so I got the camera, which I installed in record 3 minutes. That simple! My camera is mounted magnetically on the motor's surface. If I had one complaint it would be, I hope the motor had a USB port to draw power for the camera, instead of forcing me to have an outlet available - this, of course, for those of us who choose to mount the camera on the motor's surface magnetically.
The video quality is great, but I have issues with the audio. The audio worked initially, but now it doesn't work. Other than the audio, it is a good product.
The camera purchase was easy and it shipped to me quickly so that part was great. The set up was easy and straight forward, no issues there. The only thing that I don't like is the quality of the image. The camera boasts 100 resolution, but standing 5 feet in front of the camera I can't even recognize faces. The image quality is poor at best. I gave 3 stars based on the image quality, probably should have given 1 or 2 stars, but the rest of my experience was very good.
Great hardware...limited software. Have a multi door setup and camera can not be associated with a single door making camera mounting to door motor pointless...3 of 4 cameras trigger when any door opens. And the cameras a separate items in the sofware currently. Should be able to trigger a door AND have the image appear at the same time if on a video device. Still mo ALEXA compatibility.
Size is good, ability to connect to garage door opener is great. The reason for the lower rating is the video quality. With the sun outside and the garage darker inside and the door open, the camera not able to adjust. I was unable to identify a person inside the darker garage. The camera should be able to close an iris to adjust lighting when needed. I did tested this with another camera in the garage, side by side and noticed the other wi-fi camera did adjust for sunlight.
The camera works well and was relatively easy to install and set up, but I was under the impression that it paired with Amazon Alexa, however, it does not. I wouldn't have purchased it had I known this.
I don't want push notifications on motion, only when garage door opens. No matter how I set this app, I still get push notifications on motion unless I shut notifications all all together. There is no way to set the field of view for motion either. When garage door is open, all outside motion is detected. Very annoying. Screen take a long time refresh also.
Lift Master doesn't tell you ahead of time that you need a subscription to view recorded video and also what level of iOS you need as well. When it wouldn't work, they told me to upgrade my phone because an iPhone 6 can't run the iOS needed to support their product!
Not very satisfied with the camera. The installation is extremely easy and convenient with the magnetic option. The positives end there. Recording is haphazard and loading times are slow. There is no ability to share the camera with other users in the app, not even the co-owner. Additionally, the audio/talk feature is awful. You literally have to hold down the button to talk and you cannot hear while holding down the button. Every time I let go of the talk button and the other person answers, I miss half of their first sentence. I own multiple Ring cameras and they are not too bad, I expected at least that quality. I was unpleasantly surprised.
Spent an hour trying to get the camera to work. Then spent another hour + with tech support only to come to the conclusion that the camera did not work. Terrible product.
