Liftmaster Univ Garage Door Receiver,3/4"W,4 1/4"L 850LM

This unit resolved my frustrating remote RF interference issues caused by my LED landscape light bulbs. I also purchased the 12v transformer made for this and the 811M remote and it all worked well together. Took about 2 hours to install and test. Very pleased!

I work for a city and we have installed these on our fire dept. overhead doors for a couple of reasons. 1 we could pre program the receiver before we installed them to accept all the fire equipment that needed to access the doors. 2 The range on these is far better than the range that is built into the overhead door openers themselves. We can activate doors and gates from almost 1000 ft away.

Best receiver out there, for commercial or residential use. Super easy to install. Will need 12 or 24 volt transformer.

So far, this is working well and an easy fix. The remote control receiver circuits in both of my 1998 Liftmaster openers faded and failed at the same time. Other than that, the openers are still in great shape and work fine from the button circuits. For under $100 this installed easily and wired in to the same button circuit. The receiver is mounted in the middle of my garage and I use the remotes easily from several hundred feet away even without extending the antenna.

Correct item received. Unfortunately it did not communicate with my garage door opener. It's not the unit - was the door opener

Once I was able to figure out how this worked, it was a breeze to get set up. The problem is, the information that comes with it is pathetic. First, it doesn't come with a 12 volt power supply! What do you buy these days that doesn't come with the items you need to make it work? I happened to have one lying around from an old device of some kind, so that was a minor issue. I wired it up to 2 garage door openers by splicing wires into the wall switches of each door opener and attaching them to channels 1

Item was defective. Returned for refund.
