Great value!
I use a lot of this yarn. I crochet and sell toys, and this works very well for larger projects. It's soft and works up very quickly. I wish there were more colours available in the value size balls, but that's my only complaint :)

Lovely yarn to work with
Bernat Softee Chunky is my go to yarn for sweaters, afghans and blankets. Its is to work with; knits up fast; and can go in the washer and dryer so its perfect for items for babys and young kids.

Nice chunky yarn
Love this chunky yarn. Makes great blankets. Have made blankets eith a few different stitches or colour combos. always easy to work with. Much cheaper than some other bulky yarns

Made a beautiful sweater for my grand daughter it will be the perfect weight for her for spring and fall. So soft but will be easy to care for

Highly recommend!
Love this yarn, it's consistent as to size, soft and the color vibrant and just what I wanted. Works up nicely, will be using again in the future. I'm making a afghan for my son-in-law for his birthday. I made up my own pattern with my favorite stitches. Been crocheting since 1965 so I've seen the changes in yarn and patterns… they've come a long way!

Great for winter hats
I've used Bernat Softee Chunky for the past 2 winters to make hats to donate for the homeless. I live in Maine, and winters are fierce. Softee Chunky works up quickly and makes a very warm hat. It's soft, easy to work with, good quality, and comes in a large skein which will make several hats.

Colour is really nice and it works up well. However, I gave it only 4 stars because if you need to undo even a few stitches, the strands come untwisted pretty easily.

Not soft at all.
Love using this yarn, wish it was softer. Not sure why they call it Softee Chunky, it is rough to the touch.
