This chair was a lifesaver! My partner lost her mobility recently and needs a wheelchair. Unfortunately, a wheelchair ramp is not an option for us. An organization we work with recommended this chair and we couldn't be happier. It works great; better than expected. You don't have to be super-strong operate it. The design quality is outstanding. It's very durable. She feels very safe in it. Also, it's an American company and when you call customer service you get an actual employee who works there and who knows about the product. (I give their customer service 5 stars!) I would definitely buy it again if I needed to.
Great seller fast shipping item as described works good
Great chair for the price.
Chair is and performs as advertised, works well, no problems to date but have had it only a week. Still operating on initial charge after twice-daily use. It arrived fully assembled/well packaged. Don't deceive yourself, while the chair is VERY easy to operate/requires minimal effort a 98lb weakling most likely will not be able to safely go up or down stairs with a 300lb passenger.
It is early to tell but so far it is a good product. The chair lift is very heavy for me. I still do not feel comfortable using it alone. The chair is well made and sturdy I guess that is why is heavy. The chair lift come fully assembled, once battery is fully charge you can use it out of the box.
Well made, should last, and works very well.
It does the job as it should. Easy to operate. Gets me up a very steep set of stairs without a lot of effort on the person helping. Beware the tread leaves significant black marks on the carpet. I’m glad there’s an alternative to the permanent stair assists.
Hopefully it is obvious that I am not a trained professional. This product operates like a motorized stair dolly with a chair attached. Which is to say that it is fantastic if you need to transport someone up or down stairs. If you are in the physical shape to use a motorized stair dolly you can handle this, otherwise do not attempt. It is highly advised that you use a second person to help steer and stabilize the chair using the lower handles. Each of my team members trained to use this with it empty and we had each team member take a ride up and down the stairs on it. We average about 200 pounds each. I am the heaviest at about 260 pounds. It required a good amount of effort to keep the tracks firmly resting on the stairs. There was almost no slipping of the tracks at all. Overall the rides were only a tiny bit bumpy. The back rest of the chair needed some foam padding or a foam pillow to rest on because the bar was uncomfortable when you were leaning back. The chair felt very sturdy and secure. The armrests were too short to be of any use at all. The belts to secure the patient were almost not able to fit around my girth, but they were very secure like seat belts in a motor vehicle. The truth of the matter is that this chair was made to be practical, safe and secure; but not comfortable. That is a good thing, but it can be improved. On to other matters. There was an issue with the battery mounting brackets not being attached when we received the stair chair. We had to use a rivet gun to reattach the brackets ourselves. The battery was loose inside the package and we feared it might not charge correctly. Fortunately, it did charge. The chair we received did not come with any instruction manual so we had to find one online. Try watching any videos on Youtube by entering in the model number for the stair chair you intend to purchase and it will give some good overall information. Details were a little more difficult to find, such as the key switch for the motor, seemed to feel like it was in the on position before it actually was. This made us think that battery didn't charge and wasn't working. The Sameyoung battery charger we received with the chair worked fantastically. The instructions were difficult to read in English and printed extremely small. They were detailed, but seemed to indicate that the light turning green meant that there could be an issue with a low voltage charge instead of the charge being complete. The chair seemed to be uncharged, but it was. All this adds up to, the chair does exactly what it says it will do, if you are careful and are willing to put in some work. Do not expect perfection and make sure to only use it if you are well informed, trained and in good shape to operate it. Do not use it if you have any defects that may compromise anyone's safety as a passenger or operator. There are definitely very good safety guidelines provided in the manual and the videos.
I bought this chair because my spouse is disabled and we have stairs in the house. This chair was supposed to help get her up and down the stairs. It did just that for three weeks and then it quit. I wrote to the seller and their initial response was to send circuit cards to replace the ones on the chair. Unfortunately, those circuit cards were shipped in non-electrostatic discharge packaging. Furthermore, the card was different than the old card. The chair did not work even after replacing the card and discussing it with the seller to ensure I had the wiring right. Rather than sending a replacement, they decided, against my wishes, to issue a refund and told me to order a new chair. They also told me to keep the defective chair rather than take it back and refurbish it. So I am stuck with a defective chair and with little hope of getting it replaced anytime soon. While working, it was great but you expect an item like this to work for more than three weeks. The customer service was good until the point of getting a replacement and not taking back the chair. Because of the frailty of the electronics and difficulty getting a replacement vs. a refund, I cannot suggest someone buy the chair.
This is a very bad item, I bought it for my wife, but it is too heavy and does not work, I am very disappointed.
