Overall Linksys is an excellent product. However, this item is not WPS Compatible, and I have to return it to get a WPS compatible WIFI extender.

How to install and make it operational?
It is easy to install. Start by plugging close to your Velop Mesh Router. You have to do nothing. If the solid blue light appears then it is all integrated and you can move it. If solid blue light does not come on the new location, means signal is not strong and too many obstructions from original router. Move it around. Some time a location farther from router but with few obstructions works better. The firmware updates will occur automatically by Linksys App. LinkSys App will also show your extender as a second router. Everything works seamlessly. However, do not try to integrate with an old non-mesh router.

The extender was not as easy to be 'found' the first 2 times, but then once it connected to the network it has remained online. It will be a little time before I can tell if it has actually extended our range, or increased the number of devices able to function - which is the primary reason for this purchase.

It arrived dirty and scratched like it had bee in someone's basement for a while. It wouldn't connect to my system no matter how close to the router I had it during setup. Hoping to exchange it for a new one and get a better result.

No instructions to install or return instructions. Called Linksys to get instructions and was given fraudulent info about my network. Shady company trying to dump obsolete crap.

When I opened the packaging the plastic wrapping material was covered with brown gunk and there were no installation instructions. Being pretty good at electronics I thought I'd go ahead and install using instructions off the web. I tried every which to get it to sync. It's evident that it was a return and the previous person couldn't get it to work either. I will be returning.
