I'm an 69 year old woman and I found it easier to use a pair of pliers to turn the tool included around. Put the lid on before the inside screws are tight on one side. Took me a while to get it together but it is nice one holds 2 laundry baskets of woman, men's and youth hats, mittens, gloves and scarves. Nice size.

Easy to assemble and looks nice. Used in my entryway and a great place to store shoes. A 42x16 bench cushion fits well in the seat.

Assembly instructions could have been more clear on orientations and when to tighten but there are only a handful of steps so even redoing a couple didn't add a long time to assembly. I echo several comments on the sturdiness of the bottom storage area. Works for blankets and stuffed toys but not able to handle heavier storage items. Appearance and finish are its strong points.

Easy to put together. Large enough for two people. Will not open completely like it's a cm too close. It's not as tall as I would have like but overall it does what it supposed to do!

The storage area is good for guest's pocket books etc., however, I'm not sure how much weight it could hold. It took approx. one hour to assemble. I would say it's more of a decorative piece and not very functional (it's not really comfortable to sit on), however its a good decorative piece and filled in an empty space in my kitchen very nicely. Good piece for the money if you have time to put it together.

This storage bench is nice, but not as solid as I expected. Make sure you read all the specs. The storage area has a 30 pound weight limit and the bench has a 180 pound weight limit (although two people can sit side-by-side comfortably, they might end up on the floor). It was easy to put together, but two of the pre-drilled pilot holes were in the wrong place by about 1/8". The cover was scraping the left side arm when I tried to bring it down, so I had to re-drill new pilot holes. Not a big deal...if you have a drill with the right bit handy. Overall, it's a nice looking piece, but only appropriate if you are getting it to store somthing light such as blankets, clothes, or wrapping paper.

There a numer of issues just getting assembled: wrong instructions screws stripping before any torque is applied dowel pins falling out of the holes masking tape on the dowel pins because the holes are too big the bottom plate is a think sheet that will absolutely warp, sag, and break the piece identification stickers leave a sticky residue the only reason I gave it 2 stars is because it looks nice, but I don't expect it to last

It is cheaply made and the wood has many flaws in it. One of the hinges was broken and the lid does not open and close without scraping the sides of the bench. I would have returned it but was not able to return to a Walmart store. It would have been expensive to mail it back. I just decided to put it in the basement and not in the front foyer as I had intended. Very disappointed!
