I honestly did not expect to get so much from one ball! I was able to get a matching bib and bonnet, two bag handles in a yarn eating crochet stitch (thermal stitch), AND a mug rug all from a single ball! I bought more colors from the lion brands website, as well as this being my second of this shade from Walmart! I will add a photo of a few of the items I made using one ball! keep in mind that my phone likes to add more yellow/orange tones to photo, and it's not yet light out in my home. Color is a bit more pale than it shows on my screen, but that could be different for you! The yarn is softer than peaches %26 cream and the colors look more solid as well. garmet sizes did not change a whole lot with blocking, but the weight and feel to it is great! 😊
I love this yarn to begin with, so I already knew what to expect when I bought it. I thought the color was going to be more of a dusty rose color, based on how it looked on my screen - duh, the color says Russet lol. So that's on me. This yarn CAN be a little bit splitty, but as long as you pay attention, it works out fine.
Love the yarn but very disappointed in Walmart! I ordered 4 balls of the light pink and received 3 different lot numbers! Lot numbers are extremely important in yarn and may look similar in color but not exactly the same…very noticeable in knitted piece!!!
This yarn is easy to knit and looks lovely finished. I have used the more expensive brands of cotton and rayon, and this is as good if not better!!! I just wish there were more colors--maybe for fall they will release more. (I did notice the splitting at first, but it's something that happens in many yarns, and you adjust by the time you've done a gauge swatch.)
Bamboo and cotton are a great fiber combination and Coboo yarn is a perfect example of this best-of-both-worlds pairing. The bamboo elevates the cotton to amazing levels of velvety softness while the cotton gives the bamboo strength and makes it low maintenance. Coboo is such a great quality yarn that it's hard to believe that it stays priced so affordably low (but i'm glad it is) I always snag as much of this yarn as i can when i find it because i know i will ALWAYS use it and it sells out quickly in stores, this is not a yarn that will sit around in your stash, you will use it up and go get more, I enjoy the hand feel of it, I love the drape and the stitch definition and it doesn't split or shrink it just gets softer and softer when you wash it and wear it, doesn't fuzz or pill. It is also a really good yarn to use for amigurumi, holds shape perfectly. Can't say enough good things about this yarn!! Try this hybrid and you will never want to go back to plain cotton!!
I had ordered Coboo before I saw reviews saying that the yarn splits into strands while you're working with it and was afraid it might be a problem.... BUT I guess my personal crocheting technique eliminates the snagging/splitting problem because I have had NO PROBLEMS! Apparently I have always turned the hook *point down* automatically when drawing through (I didn't even realize I was doing it) and I have been making granny squares for two days with no problems, no snags, no splitting! As a result I AM ABSOLUTELY THRILLED WITH THE SILKY SMOOTHNESS AND DRAPE OF COBOO and can't wait to finish the long sleeve tunic I am making!! Wishing Everybody "Happy Hooking!"
Love the feel and look of this yarn. I am knitting a toy for my new Gr8 Grandchild and am positive she will LOVE the feel of this yarn against her very soft skin.
I was hoping this beautifully drapey, soft sily yarn would be more orange... but ne t to muave.. it is too similar and not at all what I expected (I looked at the listing from 3 different screens that have different settings, because I know monitor settings can change the colors) All looked far more orange than in reality.
This yarn is soft and the color bayberry is very pretty but it is so hard to work with. I used a clover hook and it just was too splitty! Not the best for those just starting out to crochet. I'm returning this one.
The color was not the same as what was shown in the picture and was instead a lot darker. However, I did order it online, so a slight difference might be expected. This yarn is on the pricier side in comparison to its size. The yarn is decent quality, and depending on what you need the yarn for, this yarn may be a good selection.
