I was very surprised by how nicely this yarn knits up on an LK 150 knitting machine. Currently using the yarn to make a very warm olive green cardigan. Green is usually not my color but this color is so rich, it just works. This is my new go to yarn for cold weather knits.
Definitely a favorite. I really like that this yarn is partially recycled acrylic, so it is not as itchy as the regular wool-ease. The wool gives it extra warmth. Easy to knit with. Great stitch definition. Have knit a cardigan, a beanie and a hooded scarf with different colors of this yarn.
I am always iffy about spending more than the bare minimum on yarn because I often regret it. Not this time. The quality of the yarn is very good! It's super smooth and easy to work with whether you're using it on crochet hook or knitting needles. The fabric once created has beautiful drape and creates a magnificent garment even when crocheted. This survives the washer and dryer with no troubles in my experience. The color is so deep and so red, think of the brightest fire truck you've ever seen - that is exactly what kind of red this is. I would recommend this highly for anything that will be worn against the skin and additionally you can feel good about where the yarn was sourced from.
The review is in behalf of my granddaughter who has her own crocheted business…. According to her opinion she has try every single yarn there's out there and she mention to me if you ever see a sale on Lion brand yarns on sale to buy as much I could afford,, she loves how smooth is to handle the yarn and it does fall apart like some yarns,.. so from now on.. this brand is on my list.
it's a good thing to know what size yarn you're buying when shopping online like a medium is size 4 and the extra bulky is a 6. but it's not really huge other than that, it rocks. I'm making a gorgeous winter blanket for my bed with it. love that it's partly recycled and only part wool cuz it's soft but not itchy. color is beautiful and rich. NOT like a standard crayon colored line which i love.
I would recommend this product. It is a beautiful color, soft and easy to work with, knits up beautifully. It is upcycled and that too is very important. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Product is soft and easy to use. It does not unravel easily so working with it is easy. I do wish the skein was larger, but there is just enough to make a beanie.
I was really surprised and like crocheting with this yarn. I crochet just about anything from dish towels to amigurumi, to clothing and accessories. I think this yarn would be great for amigurumi or blankets because it's really nice and soft. I made a doll out of it and it worked up really nice and smooth with no snags. I wish I could find more colors because I'd stock up for multiple projects.
I like that it's recycled, and that it has a bit of wool. i wish the grey and green colors weren't so shiny. It reminds me of Caron Simply Soft. The other colors don't seem as shiny. It's also thinner than most %234 worsted yarns. Maybe closer to dk.
It is so disappointing that the yarn weight listed as 4 (medium) is at best DK weight or thinner. I put regular wool ease %234 and recycled wool ease medium "4" side by side; you can see the difference. The color is lovely. I haven't used the yarn yet, so I don't know if it is full of knots. Since the yarn is not what my pattern requires, I couldn't start. If I combine strands to get thicker, it isn't worth the money I spent on it.
