I've never used this yarn before but I like it and am planning to make the basket I found on your website. I also had ordered some Pima cotton yarn because it is my absolute favorite cotton yarn. I use it to make wash clothes, face scrubbies etc.
I cannot wait to work up something with this gorgeous yarn. Thinking maybe a bathmat with matching basket for bathroom:) biggest skein I've seen
Knitting a blanket with this yarn. I've only encountered 2 knots in 3 skeins so far. Works up quickly on 11 needles. The yarn is a bit fuzzy against certain fabrics so the fuzz transfers to clothing. Also love the fact that there's over 200 yds to a skein!
This yarn is a dream to work with. Softest yarn I have ever felt. It does have a halo, but doesn't seem to shed. The hook size says 9mm, but I recommend using at least a 10mm, much easier to work with that way. I alternated the colors hazelnut and pumice stone for an afghan, the color combination is the perfect neutral.
I was nearly done with a sweater and realized that I was not going to have enough yarn to finish! JoAnne Fabrics told me that had enough when I started and could never find what I needed. You matched what I had perfectly and I'm almost finished! Everyone loves how this yarn looks and are amazed at how heavy this "chunky" yarn is. Again, thank you!
Wasn't sure how the yarn would work up. I'm making a Celtic Weave Afghan and the yarn is working out very nice. Surprise how soft the yarn is. Using 4 colors- whipped cream instead of the very dulled pumice stone, spruce, faded denim and spruce- the colors are what I was looking for and looks great together. Will try out other colors of the re-spun yarn.
Even though I'll always be obsessed with Wool Ease T&Q, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the re-spun line. The thick & quick can be easily mixed with wool ease, and the price is well work the yardage. It's soft and perfect for blankets for wearables. I was worried it might have a plasticy acrylic feel but it doesn't at all. I am currently making a tunisian crochet queen size blanket, and this is hands down a joy to work with.
Great quality yarn which goes a long way! I ordered this yarn to make a chunky knit raglan sweater. The yarn is lovely quality, soft, squishy, and so warm. Each ball is huge as well which means you get a lot of wool for your money. I was really impressed, and more so when learning the wool is recycled polyester which reduces waste and landfill. Would definitely recommend for any chunky knit projects.
I have made 2 raglan sweaters with re spun yarn and they turned out great. Nice to know that I'm helping the environment. There has been allot of knots and one time very close to each other which was a drag. No problems with splitting yarn and was nice to knit with. My sweaters worked up fast.
I've used up one skein so far out of 5 that I bought, and it is definitely a lovely soft yarn that feels maybe a bit softer than wool-ease t&q. There is also quite a bit of yardage for the price, and I like the slight sheen. However, it's a very “splity” yarn which has made it nearly impossible for me to frog more than a few stitches. My first skein also had 5 cuts/knots in it which is a bit frustrating (3 were in the last 20% of the skein). I also don't love that it's hand wash only because the ease of care is one of the big benefits of wool ease t&q and I was hoping this would be a more sustainable substitute, but for larger projects or donated projects, machine washability is key. I'll use up my remaining skein, and may continue to purchase for small projects that won't be washed too often, but probably won't be using this for any large projects
