Used for crocheting dish scrubbies. Made several for me and to give as a small practical gift. Non scratchy for your dishes yet strong enough to clean away food on dinnerware and flatware. Ordered the set twice so far. Easy to crochet. Two strands, ten single crochets until it is twice as long as you want the finished product to be. Double over and sew closed with over hand stitch.
This "yarn" was not my favorite at first. But the more I used it, the more I loved it! Hard to work with at first, easier as you go. Had to order a skein in every color, it's that good. And I love doing my dishes with the scrubbies that I make with this, it makes my least favorite chore a little easier to handle.
My wife was given a kitchen scrubber as a gift. She has been looking for this type of yarn. I helped her with a Google search and found Lion Brand Yarn. She is very happy with the product and glad to have found what she needed. Ordering was easy and it arrived on schedule. Thank you.
I cannot wait to start making bath poufs with this stuff. I've used it to make scrubby, two-sided washcloths, but I'm looking forward to using it to make the kind of pouf I could use on my skin in the shower. It didn't get tangled or anything, which was one of my worries in using this texture of yarn, if I'm being honest. It's not a soft yarn, obviously, but I didn't find it too irritating to my skin while crocheting with it. That said, if you do have really sensitive skin or, like me, sensory processing disorder, know that you'll have to take semi-frequent breaks from working to give your skin a rest. It's not the worst (I've had to give up entirely on some acrylics, so honestly this wasn't that bad by comparison), but it will irritate a little if your sensitive skin is working with it for long periods, in my experience.
This yarn makes the best loom knit scrubbies ever! Pansy, Cyber Yellow and Turquiose are beautiful vibrant colors. And I will order those colors again. However, Chartruese was very disappointing. It isn't vibrant at all like the swatch shows, it's more like a light celery. And I wouldn't order it again . Would love to see a deep black, and some sparkly holiday colors.
I have not yet used this it feels awesome and I have a project in mind that this yarn is going to make sing. Just because the name is a little different doesn't mean it won't work for the bath poufs I am making with it. They will scrub but not too hard that it scratches the skin. Try some and have fun. There are a great deal of scrubby free patterns on different sites try some and have fun.
The product takes a bit of time to get used to……but after the initial meeting, it works just fine. I used size ten needles and the scrubbies just flew off the needles. Great color choices. Thank you.
If you double strand this using a 5.5mm hook you can make the best sponge, I made a bunch and went around my neighborhood selling them for $5 and made $55 dollars.
Very high priced would not buy again . Skeins are too small too
i wasn't prepared for this kind of scrubbir yarn, not happy with it!
