Lion Brand Yarn Wool-Ease Aire Lilac Super Bulky Acrylic, Wool, Polyester Yarn 3 Pack

I got this as an accent yarn to go with Wool Ease Thick and Quick for hats. I really like it on it's own, but felt it needed another yarn with it. I might use it with a #4 or #5 weight yarn instead and hold them together. It's really soft and pretty and fun.

I am really enjoying working with this yarn. It is very soft and light yet warm. It is very fluffy and light and once you get the knack of working with it is knits up fast. Project is not done so I cannot yet tell how durable it is with wear and wash but I have not had any problems with breakage as I have worked with it. If you are looking for something different from the ordinary worsted yarn look this is your yarn!

So soft and light! A little difficult to get used to knitting with in the beginning but quickly adapted. I am in the process of making the “Strike a Pose” pullover also from Lion Brand and it is turning out lovely. I might order in another colorway since the color options of this yarn are stunning!

The feel of this yarn is so fun. I think it would be beautiful and easy to use granny square stitch.

I love different textured yarns and wanted this is many colors. Its definitely a nice texture, but some patches of yarn have less fluff on them and can poorly reflect on your project. Its also very difficult to frog like mohair or tweed yarn because the threads catch onto each other.

This is only slightly hard to work with in the beginning but once you get the hang of it, it works up beautifully and is so soft. I'm giving it 4 stars because the “fluffiness” of the yarn was slightly inconsistent especially with different colors so keep that in mind. But I could have just gotten a weird batch. But aside from that I loved this yarn and I would definitely use it again!

I really enjoyed experimenting with this yarn! It was hard for me to use making rows at first so I tried something else and it makes the coolest granny squares! Once you get used to it it's really easy! I used the color purple haze.

A beautiful color and works up very soft and fluffy. I find it difficult to work with as a No. 10 knitting needle is recommended and the yarn is rated as Extra Bulky. Lots of fluff but on a very thin fiber thread-like base. Wanted to knit a sweater but will not be doing that. Very light weight and the No. 10 needle created a very loose fabric, unsuitable for a sweater in my opinion.. I will experiment with a much smaller needle and see how that works. Very disappointed. Has no stretch or give on the needles and the fluff tends to get in the way of working the stitches. Not sure if its worth the annoyance and effort. Unfortunately will be putting this on a back burner.

This is a unique and beautiful yarn and added a luxe look and feel to my project. However, as others have noted, its characteristic variability can be a challenge. It does tend to knot easily, and it is difficult to frog. On the plus side, those same characteristics make it somewhat forgiving as it obscures small issues. I do wish that the thread holding it all together was in a shade similar to the overall material. May or may not use again.
