Floppy Fantasy Figures
The grand-kids love the Polar Express train chugging around the Christmas tree. One of my grandsons asked why we didn't have some of his favorite characters so these add-on figures seemed like a nice surprise. They are a bit expensive (@ $5.00 each) given the tiny size but, since they are sold by Lionel, they are the right size and are accurately decorated. The match the figures that came with the train perfectly. The detail is amazing given the size of the models. Unfortunately, the leg joints are so loose that they will not stand up. The little girl and boy just flop over. The larger figures are not as loose, but they too flop over after a few circuits around the tree. I tried contacting Lionel a couple of times to see if I had received a defective set of figures but got no response. I ordered a second set and they are exactly the same floppy figures. Since the kids love the additional characters, just returning the second set was not an option. I was able to tighten the joints by wrapping some sewing thread around the pivot inside the joint. It was not overly difficult, but more than one might expect would be necessary on a toy from a well known manufacturer. I not at all pleased with the lack of response from Lionel customer service, but the kids are happy and that's what counts. I concede that it is possible that I got products from a bad batch, but be aware that you too may receive some floppy figures from Lionel. Fortunately, Walmart stood behind the products and I was able to return the defective figures without a hassle.

Very small
EXTREMELY small pieces. Paint on figures is terrible. Paid way too much for the quality of the item. I was not pleased.
