Lions Gate - Rambo [DIGITAL VIDEO DISC]

The quintessential Rambo- and what the author and creator of the character, David Morrell, said was the most accurate portrayal of his character. Brooding, broken, and temperamental John J. Rambo reluctantly helps missionaries in war torn Burma. The lead antagonist is a former freedom fighter from the Burmese war himself and brings with him an authenticity unmatched. The violence is gruesome where special effects give you an idea on what a 50 cal machine gun and land mines actually do the human body so not suitable for young children. The acting from some of the supporting cast is sub par, but you get to see some great directing from Stallone overall. One of his last films that he helped write and direct.

If you are a Stallone fan or a John Rambo fan you will like this film. It is an action adventure that does not miss on either action or adventure. If your looking for Great acting and dialog you should spend your money elsewhere. I like the film very much. Stallone brought a vulnerability to John that was not there in the past. I went into the film expecting a Rambo film, and I got it. If you are a fan of the genre you like the film. It is pretty simple.

The DVD arrived in good time, actually it came a week early.... Easy to pick up.... I have bought a number of item from Walmart... I am very satisfied..... Chuck
