I will continue to buy this!
I'm not sure what the difference is between this Basics matte medium and the professional, because I can't tell the difference. I use it for toning a canvas after I have the basic drawing down and before I begin to apply color. Works very well to isolate the drawing layer and give me a smooth toned undercoat.

I liked the original modeling paste better but this definitely has its uses!

Buy again
Long lasting tough product. I had a 15 year old tube of this and it was only slightly drier than the brand new tube. It's unique in that the rough sandy coarse type texture can be applied smooth. Time consuming to sand out very rough sharp edges.
