Freeze dried reconstitutes almost as soon as it hits any moisture and tastes fresh but won't go bad in a week like fresh. Like it to flavor sour cream and yogurt based dips, soups, salads. Like that it comes in a glass jar with a tightly re-sealable lid.
So glad I found Litehouse Freeze Dried Dill. It's almost like fresh, but with none of the work and it stays nice and "fresh" in your pantry. I use it one just about everything. The jar is only .35 oz., but I swear it expands as you use it, goes a long way and I use generous amounts!
always a good alternative to fresh, it is better than regular dried dill due to it is freeze dried so when mixed in it releases all the flavor as if you had just chopped it fresh. No worrying about using it before it goes bad. Highly recommend over regular dried dill.
I use this stuff almost every day. It goes great on a fried add with everything bagel seasonings, with limes or lemons on fresh fish, or this and mustard on chicken. it's the only version of the dill other than fresh where you actually get the full flavor.
This is one of my favorite herbs to use for its immunity boosting properties. I use dill for immunity boosting and pain relief nutrients. The jar is large.
Dill is wonderful in so much - dips, baked potatoes, sea food, egg salad, salad, cucumber salad, pasta salads, salad dressings and vinaigrettes, etc., etc. No dill in the house, run to the store and get some!
This is my go-to brand for freeze dried , but the Great Value brands are starting to win me over because they are more affordable and quality doesn't seem to suffer !!!
This is a good product, however there's now only 2/3 of the dill in the bottle, whereas it was always filled to the top, whether purchased in their store, or here online and shipped to my house. The herb itself is always the freshest I've ever used from dried herbs, and is therefore robust in both aroma %26 flavor. But, is this the new level of shrinkflation? I'm really disappointed. And saddened. :0( Not happy!!!
This had absolutely no flavor of dill even when it was reconstituted into a very moist recipe. If you like little green specs in salads for interest and color (not flavor) then this is it. Waste of money. Grow your own dill in a corner in your lawn. Totally worth it.
Doesnt taste like dill at all, or anything for that matter. Doesnt even remotely smell like Dill either. For the price of this little jar, I would expect to have ACTUAL dill.
