I got this on clearance for slightly more than what one of the battery packs cost and it comes with the battery. I bought this because I was so impressed with their pole saw that I bought. this one did have a few things I didn't like: it don't self oil, the trigger safety is not ergonomic, and it came with the chain installed but it was installed backwards. but most of that is just nitpicking the tool did great for what I needed it for I was able to cut up a bunch of limbs that I cut down with the pole saw and cut them into two feet long sections without much problem. once I got done the battery was down to two bars from four and I probably worked for about 30 minutes to 45 minutes cutting up stuff on and off. Overall for the price it can't be beat. I bought this the pole saw and 12 inch chainsaw for $120 and you can barely buy a used poulan for that.
It does not have an automatic oil facility. The chain falls off and won't stay back on. It's useless.
