Little Experimenter Child Metal Detector with LCD Screen, Outdoor Activity Toys for Kids

This little metal detector is the perfect size for a kid who wants to get into metal detecting. From the photos, I was worried it might be too small for my 7 year old, but it worked great for him. It is lightweight, easy to read and seems sturdy enough to withstand his use. It’s a little on the short side - which makes me think younger (more careful) kids around age 3 could also even use it. It took only a minute to put together and it takes a 9V battery - but it came with one, which was a nice surprise. We tested it out and it works well. Clear beeping to signify getting closer to an object and the digital screen is a nice added touch. We had a great time exploring the yard and seeing what kinds of treasures we could find. I think it’s an excellent product that will entertain kiddos and adults alike for hours and well worth the value.

I’ve always been interested in metal detecting so I’m excited to go on adventures with my little explorers! It comes with a booklet but no instructions. Assembly was fairly simple once you look at the parts and pictures. Having the battery (9V) included was an awesome surprise so there is no delay in getting to the fun. You do have to hold the power button to turn the detector on and off.

Assembled very easy, It even comes with the battery. it's really nice to open a toy and be able to use it right away especially when you give it as a gift. this is adorable, and it really works good. I was very surprised it detected the metal beams under my trailer even through the floor. it seems pretty powerful because it was detecting wires, buried outside underground. definitely be careful about that, know where your wires are before you dig. the length of the toy is good even for adults. I didn't have to bend over too much to play with it. and operation is simple, it's one button. You turn it on and you're off detecting. she was so excited to find things. of course we might have helped with a few handfuls of change lol. it's so much fun and you get to get exercise.

This metal detector works great! I bought it for my 5 year old grandson and he loves it. We are headed to the beach this summer and can't wait to see what we'll find. He even brings it to the local playground and checks for lost coins. Treasure hunters this is for you!

I bought the metal detector for my grandson's birthday. It was the only thing he asked me for. It has been a big hit with him. As soon as he opened it he went to look for treasure.

This is perfect for your little one that is always on the move and loves exploring. My 2 year old has no problem turning on and exploring our yard with this detector. Keeps him busy for over an hour and he’s always excited to go over a different area of our quarter acre yard each day. Definitely for 9 years and under based on size. Again, my son is 2 and LOVE LOVE LOVES looking for treasures so this has provided endless fun. We tried a more advanced one that said kids could use it to but it was too difficult for my son to navigate and even hold. This is very light weight and intuitive. Not too pricey %26 easy enough for kiddos over 2 I’d say. Easy to handle and navigate on their own.

seems like a nicely made toy. honestly I was excited to use myself because I've always wanted one but my daughter will love it too! can't wait to take to the beach!
