Little House 5-Book Full-Color Box Set: Books 1 to 5

Wasn't the complete set. Thought I was going to get the whole set.

Books are well made and worth the price which was very reasonable by the way. My granddaughter is going to love these books. Very happy with my ourchaseb

Reading these books while waiting out the Covid-19 stay at home order. Great to get back into the books, read them to my daughters when they were little. This collection has color pictures, adds more depth to the books.

The books were a gift to my adult daughter. When she was a child I was very ill but listening to her baby like voice coming from her room reading her favorite books always made me feel better. The books were Laura Ingles "Little House on the Prairie" so I gave here the first 5 collection as a Christmas present and it was a hit! Everyone got emotional especially her!!!

Our employer asked us to adopt "angels" this xmas & the item on our "angel"s wishlist that caught my attention was this. Having enjoyed Laura's books for as long as I can remember, I knew I had to be the one to purchase this item for our "angel". It arrived thru "site-to-store" faster than anticipated & picking up at the store was fast & easy. It was only the first 5 books, but considering it would have been double the price to get all 9 books from Laura's bookstore in MO, I thought this was well worth the $$. Free shipping to the store was another plus, altho I routinely travel near Mansfield, MO & could have picked up the larger set at the bookstore, with no problem. Was very nice looking & will hopefully travel thru life with our "angel" for many, many years. It's a great start to collecting & enjoying Laura's books.

I already own at least 2 of the 9 book sets from 20+ years ago. They have not held up well-the paper gets brittle and one must be very careful with them now. These are on much higher quality paper and are bound much better. I have looked for these in stores and compared them. If you are intending on keeping them, spend a little extra and get these. The Little House books are as popular as ever and are not likely to lose their appeal any time soon.

I purchased the "Little House" set to read to my daughter and to hand down to her for her children. I want these books to last and not yellow with age. It is true you only get the first five books, but they are printed on high quality paper and pictures are reproduced in FULL COLOR. Go down to your local mega-bookstore and compare this edition to the cheaper nine book set and you'll discover that the cheaper set is printed on flimsy newsprint type paper and the pictures or not fully reproduced. You'll also pay double to buy them locally versus online.

Me and my 7 year old daughter love this collection, it is easy to read for her, a first grader while she learns the customs and traditions of those times. There some colorful illustrations as well. Very lovely and family reading time well spent with this collection. Print is also not too small of a good size for youngsters to read.

The books got here in good shape and quickly :) The only concern was wondering why The Long Winter book 6 was not included?? Thank You!
