The material is soft to the touch and after many many washes it still feels and looks good, usually you get the little fuzzes after a few washes but ours still looks great! Ok who doesn't love this pattern. Our changing table pad is not covered so we were not sure if it would stay on but it fits great and stays snug.

My husband did have some concerns about what if poop got on the changing pad cover but then all you need to do would be to take it off and wash it. I thought because it was so soft and nice fabric, it would feel great on my baby skin. My daughter seem to like it.
