Little Tikes Turtle Sandbox with Removable Lid

Love it! Took me personally 45 minutes to assemble but I took my time. Well made. Looks like it will hold up to 4 bags of play sand (100 lbs.) but I think I'll start out with 2 bags so my one year old will not throw all the sand out accidently or on purpose. As she grows older, we can add 2 more bags. I like the tether on the lid so the wind won't blow it off. The lid will keep the leaves and debris out as well as keep the cat and dog out of it when not in use.

My kids have had so much fun with this sandbox! The turtle design is adorable, and the lid helps keep leaves and bugs out when it's not being used. It's the perfect size for younger kids, feels sturdy, and was easy to set up. We've already gotten a lot of use out of it, and I know it will be a favorite for a long time. Great quality for the price.

Definitely spend a little extra money on a better one if you want it long term. I bought this for a relay race for a birthday party and it served its purpose. The kids played in it all day long after. I put the cover on. And one week later, my nieces asked to play in it. I remember being a kid and a spider would maybe creep in, so I went with them to check it. When I removed the lid, hundreds of ants and bugs were in there. Even one huge beetle. So the lid is pointless. And falls off easy. Assembly took longer than i thought because bottom pieces were so flimsy. If you can maintain it daily, it's a good price I guess. I got my value for the relay race out of it. But gonna have to buy a different one for them long term.

Do not buy this. It honestly doesn't deserve 1 star. It is cheaply made. It comes in 8 pieces that you should “snap” together and doesn't stay snapped. We tried putting it together on both grass and concrete and it doesn't make a difference. It comes with no hardware to secure it. Don't waste your money.

This is not the original Little Tykes 2 piece sandbox. This one is in 15 pieces and “some assembly is required “ is an understatement. Get you tools together and take the afternoon to put it together. Thankfully, there is an instruction video to help you figure it all out. The two of us finally got iit put together. This is truly the manufacturer and Walmart trying to cut shipping and shelf space costs. However, your children or grandchildren will love it once you get it together. I strongly suggest going back to the two piece moulded design , now that was a five star product.

The price is ridiculous for how horribly it is made. i had a solid one years ago that lasted me forever. this one was not only hard to put together, but the design was all in all crap. ours came apart after 1 month. we ended up having to toss it. the cost was ridiculously high for something not even that worth it

ages 1 through 6 it is not. Okay for Toddlers age 1 and 2, many years ago you could put water in it but not this and cats think it's their litter box. Put two bags of sand in and child can sit on top to play no area to move not like the good old days of toys total disappointment and lost dollars

very cheap material compared to the turtle sandbox I purchased in past years and a lot smaller. my older sandbox was one solid item with much better quality material. This one came in pieces and had to be assembled and poor quite material compared to my older outlet tikes sandbox

These are not built like they used to be. They come in multiple pieces (instead of two solid pieces that were made to last) and are made of plastic that feels like it's going to break after a couple uses. This was a very disappointing purchase and the turtle sandboxes were returned.
