Sometimes my bruxism causes inflammation, especially in my jaws, and I would always have to sleep with ice packs on my previous pillow. I've been using this pillow for almost a month and have noticed that it does have a cooling effect. I no longer use ice packs as the Tri-Cool has replaced that need. Another plus is that this pillow helps a lot with tension. I used to wake up with neck pain almost everyday, but since switching pillows, I haven't experienced that at all! Overall, I recommend this product and will likely be purchasing more of these pillows in the future.
