Lixit Dog Retractable Cable Tie Out, Medium

This item is quality thru and thru. Liked it so much, I bought two. One for the front yard and one for the backyard. If you have a smaller or weaker dog you may want something without the incredible retraction that this unit has. For my 50 pound, young, very strong mixed breed, this is perfect. I also recommend oiling the clasp once a week with cooking spray so it fastens quickly with a wiggly young dog.

We love it. This is our second one. We forgot the first one at a campsite and just had to get another.

Well made, works well, and worth the cost for our 60 lb. athletic dog.

Bought to take our boy camping with us. He is a 40lb medium dog and it was more then perfect. Just ordered 2 more to be delivered to my daughter's house for her 2 large breed dogs.

This works great for my 9lb dog but I did not notice it said 25-60 lb dog. so she has to work to pull the line out (which is my fault for not noting the weight size). My back yard is fenced but not the front so when in front yard she needs to be restrained. It works great for me pulling weeds and mowing while see looks on. very happy with it.

I will be returning it this week. The product sounded like exactly what I needed - for a small dog up to 30 lbs. I clipped the too heavy buckle on my 8 lb dog and she could barely pull the leash out - the tension was way too much for her. It should be described as for dogs 15 to 30 lbs or whatever. I HOPE the company will be making one for an an ACTUAL small dog. Maybe call it extra small.

This was great for about an hour or so, then appeared a kink in the cable and it longer automatically retracted, which defeats the purpose of the "retractable" cable stake. It's strong enough for our 60 lb Boxer, but again, with it not being retractable, I have no use for it anymore.

I purchase this because the reviews were good but we got a dud!!! the compartment that holds the rope keeps separating and getting the cord stuck so it won't retractable and it's scraping all the plastic coating off the cord.

Too taught for our little pups. It pulls them and you can see the discomfort on their little faces. Not for a small dog.

I like the fact that it was retractable but it didn't last long at all!! It is stuck out !!! you must watch your dog closely the dog will get wrapped up in the cable which is what happened to my pup and she was choking!!
