I lived in Downtown Memphis Tennessee for many years. It's been extremely difficult to find good or even decent BBQ here in Arkansas, especially ribs. It's just not the same. Sadly I am disabled now , and this BBQ pork on a fresh bun tastes pretty good all in all. I've got to where I've added it to my weekly meal plan. I canget 5 sandwiches out of 1 container. The vinegar is bit pitchy , .. but the sauce is good. It's flavorful enough to hit all my craving hot spots at least.
i recently purchased this as i was craving some bbq without having to spend the price of going to a bbq place and i could have it at home. it is sort of a creamier consistency than "real" bbq but it tasted good and a tub will make several sandwiches. Scoop you out enough to make a sandwich. Pop it in the microwave for less than a minute and voila. i would buy it again.
If you're looking for something easy to prepare for dinner while also affordable, this is definitely a good choice. It's simple to prepare and tastes great - my household enjoys it on the occasional easy dinner night. My personal favorite it to pair it with brioche buns.
I love Loyd’s pork bbq! It is a sweet bbq not vinegar based but tomato base and this is my favorite because of the sweetness! There was nothing but meat. No fat or gristle! Wd buy this a lot for a quick meal easy to just pull out of freezer and defrost and ur good to go!
Really fantastic BBQ. What makes a good BBQ you ask? Try LLoyd's BBQ on a soft pretzel bun, your favorite BBQ sauce and some dill pickle or gherkin pickles or kick it up a notch by adding Cole slaw to your BBQ sandwich. However way you like it, you'll love LLoyd's. Hey, now that's a great tag line for them!
So easy, and actually tastes good. Perfect for quick meals—heat it up and you’ve got solid pulled pork in minutes. Great on buns, tacos, or even just by itself. Flavor is really good for pre-made—not overly sweet, not bland, just balanced. Texture stays tender, not dry like some ready-made meats. Convenient, tasty, and one of those shortcuts that doesn’t feel like a compromise.
Saucy and sweet, with a tiny bit of pork shreds. i really didn't like it. i won't buy it sgain. I'll cook and shred my own pork next time. Tried to save myself some work, but this is NOT good.
I used to buy this years ago to make bbq nachos but quit due to the mush texture. I decided to give it a try again, but the texture has gotten even worse. I have seen cat food with more pieces of meat than this. It looks (and tastes) like it was extruded through a mesh screen and the meatless mush out into this bowl. I did not expect it to be as good as fresh pulled pork but this was more like a pate. Disgusting.
Let's do the positive first: I liked the barbecue sauce. As for the "pulled pork" - I am honestly not sure what kind of meat it is; I took one bite and got a chunk of gristle or skin or something. I thought I had beans in my mouth. I spit it out in the sink and then promptly threw up. Do yourself a favor and learn how to make this yourself, at least you'll know it's all pork and not something else.
It was disgusting. it looked nothing like pulled pork to me. Instead, it was full of chunks that was mostly fat and gristle. I knew something wasn't right as soon as I began to spoon it out of the container. To me it looked like waste products after meat is trimmed and maybe should have been thrown away, but instead wound up in the container. The picture will show the mess. All the pieces in the photo are chunks and bits of fat and gristle and inedible. I probably will never able to eat pulled pork ( a favorite of mine ) ever again.
