Lodge 7 Quart Oyster Enamel Cast Iron Dutch Oven

Wonderful dutch oven to cook on the stovetop and in the oven. Gave consistent heat and held it steady. Highly recommend this Lodge enamel dutch oven!

I have always made pot roast in a crock pot. I cooked one in this and I will never use my crock pot again. It was so much better and the meat was not mushy. It's really pretty and I leave it out on my cooktop. Cleanup was a breeze and it is very sturdy.

Okay, so I bought this specifically to make jambalaya. I followed the directions step by step. It said add the crushed tomatoes and meat(pre-cooked) and cook on medium heat for 10 minutes stirring occasionally. Almost immediately it began burning to the bottom of the pot. That thing gets WAY hotter than a regular pot would! Even removing it from the heat didn't help. The jambalaya ended up tasting burnt and had to be thrown out. It is a high quality and heavy duty product and I'm sure once I figure out how to cook with it, it will be great. Just beware that medium heat translates to high heat when using it.

i just received it in the mail, the boxes it came in have no damage to them, but the pot itself has some damage/scatches to the lid. this is the second time i get something damaged within a months timefrom walmart

It had a small chip in it when we opened the packaging. Other than that, it is a great piece for the kitchen.
