Lodge Cast Iron 1.5 Quart Enameled Dutch Oven Red

When you can't afford the very best of the best (French) the cookware from Lodge fulfilled by dreams. I've ordered each size of the enamel and only spend what it would have cost for one FRENCH cookware. Love it!

These little dutch ovens are the perfect size to make mini sourdough loaves or a small batch of something like soup or stew (for one or two people). I use mine to make bread mostly, and it has worked beautifully so far. I've had it for a few months. The quality seems great. It's also pretty cute.

Lodge makes an excellent product, the price was the same as the manufacturer website and Walmart had it in stock.

It I a real good size for two people. I took fried rice in it to a party and it stay warm for a long time. The bigger ones are too heavy but this was just right. I cooked chicken thighs and broth when you just need a small amount and it worked perfect. I will probably use it the most to cook vegetables.

The Dutch oven was too small, returned for a larger size.

This is the 3rd piece of Lodge Dutch Oven purchased through Walmart in recent months. I have used them to make several things: bread, beef stew, pasta, etc. They do very well in the oven as well as on the stove top to just heat vegetables, boil potatoes, etc. too. I am disregarding my stainless steel cookware because of the even heat cooking ability of the enameled cast iron on my electric stove. I don't put them in the dishwasher, just a quick and easy clean up in the sink. I ordered through Walmart and had them shipped to my local store with free shipping and a very easy pickup.

I've been wanting one of these Dutch Ovens for a while. Walmart's sale and free delivery made it reasonable to but the oven now.

Well, it is cute. Came very well packaged -- no damage whatever. Only 4 *s because I have not actually used it yet. It is quite heavy for its small size. Just hoping the enamel doesn't flake off. And I won't know that until I use it a few times. It looks well made with no wrinkles or thin spots in the enamel. It is a Lodge, after all, and probably deserves all 5 *s. Just not yet.
