Log Glass Reinforced Concrete Firepit in Brown

I loved the look of this firepit, and one of the reasons I chose it is because the description says “cover and lid included.” It was important to me that I have both a lid (a hard lid to fit in the inner lip of the fire pit cavity) and a cover (a soft/synthetic cover to go over the entire pit) in order to keep the interior lava rocks dry between use. This is an important safety function—lava rocks that are even a little wet can shoot/explode out when heated, causing injury. It was also functionally important as I wanted to be able to use the fire pit as a coffee table/smooth surface during the days when the fire pit was not needed. Despite the clear description—and the fact that the circular cavity at the center includes a lip where a lid would rest—a lid was not included. I've submitted two notes to customer service and have not yet heard back. That's left me trying to place a THIRD request for support as well as purchasing a lid from a different company that doesn't fit well and doesn't look good. Oh, and the cloth cover that is included is very cheap-feeling and thin. I'm not confident it's water proof at all, and it fits so loosely that a slight breeze picks it up. I've therefore had to buy a second cover, too. I'll update this review if I hear back from Walmart or the vendor.
