Logitech USB Headset H540 - Headset - on-ear

I use the headset with microphone to tutor online. I also listen to music, especially classical. The tone is very clear for both speaking and hearing. The expandable head piece is comfortable. The volume and mute controls are ON the head piece, at the right ear. My last headset cost $30 more than this one, and it was poor in comparison. If you feel uncomfortable having the microphone on your right, rather than the usual left placement, you might have a problem with this set. I made the "adjustment" in about 10 minutes. I highly recommend it.

Great no problems with this headphone and Mic set, just plug in, the computer found it right a way, installed the necessary software that was it nothing more to do than check with my Skype profile to see if the Mic was working correctly that was it

This is the best head set I've ever used. So crystal clear to hear others and for them to hear me. I will never buy another, other than this exact headset if/when I have to.

Use these since I work from home. I like that it had a bright red mute button so it's clear when you are on mute. Mic and sound are perfectly clear.

wear all day - works as advertised!

As a telehealth mental health provider, I spend a significant amount of my workday in sessions, so a reliable headset is essential. The Logitech USB Headset H540 works amazingly well for what I need. The sound is clear, the microphone performs consistently, and the USB connection makes it wonderfully simple to plug in and get to work. I have been very pleased with its performance during telehealth sessions. Where it loses a star for me is comfort. For an individual session or shorter stretches of use, it is perfectly fine. However, when I have several clients back-to-back and am wearing the headset for hours at a time, the on-ear design becomes uncomfortable. By the end of a long stretch of sessions, I am definitely ready to take it off. Overall, I would absolutely recommend the H540 for its sound quality, microphone, reliability, and ease of use. It does its job exceptionally well; I just wish Logitech had designed it with a little more comfort for those of us who practically live in a headset some days.

I think it works as expeted

this a great head.the sound is awesome perfect for gaming or listening to music and videos on youtube.I haven't tried the mic cuz I have no need for it so I can only assume it works great too.the only down side is it will slide off your head if you lean forward or bend your head down too much cuz it lays on your ears instead of cupping them and that's the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars.If you are looking for a head set with awesome sound and don't mind the sliding thing then this set is for you.

It worked OK for like 3 weeks but it stopped working properly after that. I did not bother to get a replacement and just got a refund. I would probably try this model out again . The sound quality was good and the mic was very clear. I just wish it had not stopped working. The return was easy though.
